The code speaks for it's self. This project and it's forks are the only ones that actually deliver on privacy on the block chain and this is the main project where real development is taking place, not the forks.  Privacy among being useful for many other things is necessary for fungibility and fungibility is necessary for a function currency. It is really that simple. I don't give 2 shits what fluffypony is doing. I don't have a twitter or a facebook or a what ever people use follow the lives of other people. Don't need it.

Hello, my name is Victor. I work for FanVictor.com - A premiere white label Fantasy Sports platform.
We build fantasy sports websites for companies.

If you are interested in a white label solution where you can brand your own fantasy sports site and integrate your coin,  our prices start at $3497.
Please visit this page for more info:

https://fanvictor.com/white-label-solution/

Alternatively, with the recent rise in crypto currency activity, we have decided to also start a retail site called
FanLucci.com - This is the only Fantasy Sports site accepting multiple crypto currencies.

If you would like your like your coin listed as a supported coin, we can integrate your coin into our platform.

For this, it is only a one time fee of $500 US.  You can also pay by Cyrpto Currency of course.
All we need is an API to validate a transaction on the blockchain.

Please let me know if you have any questions - I would really like to work with you and your organization.

Thank you

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Why do people continue to buy a coin that is being banned? I think bitcoin private offers a better brand and optional privacy features, far less likely to be banned and actually scalable for mass adoption.

you cant be serious.

Shills and scammers are never serious they are just trying to spam their shitcoin in legitimate threads to get fools to bite.

Just put these accounts on ignore.

DEV when downloading the file * downloads.getmonero.org / gui / win64 * download version: monero-gui-win-x64-v0.12.0.0 Correct. I hope in version 0.12.2.0 fixed the errors of rings and the hang of the sound in win. It's sad that everything went so irresponsibly in your affairs .... two months of absence of a full-fledged purse.

GUI v0.12.2.0 has not been released yet.

Before answering, go to the official site *getmonero.org/downloads/* and see the information provided ...

That is extremely misleading and I would be pretty pissed if I was trying to upgrade to get rid of a bug and didn't notice the damn file was the same version I was trying to get away from. That is a good waste of time bandwidth and energy.

On the bright side the downloads are really fast now. Smiley

The structure of the downloads page may be a bit misleading. If you click on the Windows GUI download link you'll notice that it actually downloads v0.12.0.0 (logically because GUI v0.12.2.0 isn't released yet).

Obviously you are all the same person. Bitcrap private, you came to the wrong thread. Or the one you feel most threatened by anyway.

Is there is a link to the official forum (forum.getmonero.org) from the getmonero.org homepage?  I can't seem to find one.  The Community tab shows slack, irc channels etc. but not the forum.    There needs to be a link to the forum, too.  People new to Monero will see an abundance of choices to peruse but never the main forum.

*Brute force will solve any Bitcoin problem*
There is no "dev team".  There is a community of people working on various aspects of the coin.

I've been keeping the repo up to date.
NoodleDoodle likes to optimise his miner.
TFT started the fork and also assists when things break.
othe's been working on a GUI.
zone117x has been working on a pool.

It's a decentralized effort to maintain the fork, not a strawman team of leet hackers who dwell in the underbellies of the internet and conspire for instamines.

not anymore ~ looks like monero got hijacked by a proprietary code loving douchebag  Roll Eyes  pfft

*Brute force will solve any Bitcoin problem*
Some days ago I posted my thoughts to Monero speculation thread, but I suppose they much more fundamental, so I re-phrase them here and may be somewhere else. May be you guys help me in ideas where that thoughts should be posted else.

I think people are crazy if they don't respect anonymity or further fight against anonymity, like Japan's FSA that want to ban anonymous cryptocurrencies.

I assert that absence of anonymity is One Huge Vulnerability to the national security of any country. As we know most blockchains are transparent and there is just one tiny line that separates a person that stores his financial info on blockchain from total fiasco - the link between wallet address and person email, photo, address, etc.

As we can see, governments of many countries fight against anonymity (KYS etc.). Also they centralize all the personal info in one hand. But this is fatal fundamental error. As we can see, if personal data may leak it does leak in short finite time at 100% sure. Because info is a super-liquid substance like liquid helium at sub-critical temperature below ~2 kelvins.

Now transparent blockchains come to the scene. WTF???!!! Each gangster for the near future will know ALL the info about you!!! And, if you are rich enough, you will be robbed. Police is just bought or are share-holders or just have been leaked...

Look what Chinese HQ create on the days:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Credit_System

Is not it fucking heavens holly shit 1984?!

There is a niche for transparent blockchains, for sure. For example, they may control social things and relations in public domain.

BUT MOST OF REAL-WORLD BLOCKCHAINS MUST BE ANONYMOUS! See above...

I am very glad when I saw Ricardo Spagni introduction of Tari:
https://cryptorecorder.com/2018/05/25/monero-xmr-riccardo-spagni-to-introduce-tari-the-new-ethereum-killer/

Also I am very glad that Ricardo Spagni itself introduced his fading participation in Monero developing itself, MAKING DEVELOPING MORE DECENTRALIZED.

And the last drop that overflows my patience to be silent, is just found words of
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Abagnale
HE, BEING FBI CONSULTANT, SAID:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AHHo9OXiwE&feature=youtu.be&t=40m35s

Blockchain is the best way to secure the information. I think you will see all banks to come to the blockchain. Keeping records through blockchain, because it will become the best way to do so. You cant break the blockchain, you cant change anything on the blockchain. So that bring us to last thing. You cant change anything on blockchain. To some little things that have to be worked out, like example we have many witness programs. So if we know who the person is and we cant change who the person is, then that become the jeopardy to that witness. So the privacy issue comes into play about. Those are the things that has to be tweaked out.

SO PLEASE OPEN EYES YOUR NEIGHBORS: ABSENCE OF ANONYMITY IS HUGE VULNERABILITY TO ALL THE COUNTRIES, not anonymity!

WAIT WAT FLUFFYPONY TOKENS WHEN? =)

Monero (XMR) lead developer, Riccardo Spagni has announced that he and other industry experts are working on launching a new protocol. The protocol is going to be built on Monero network and will have some of the latest “never seen before” features. Tari will allow the creation of decentralized applications and tokens.

Did you try to restart GUI & daemon? It may help... Sorry I don't use GUI (always prefer CLI) so can't help you in deep.

What is appear 100% clear: since you (and me) can't find your txId on the blockchain:
https://moneroblocks.info/search/0997e50717d9d023834e79defde9dbd70f34dbbea0b6211e43c1760ae33f3139
- your transaction doesn't exist in Mainnet.

What to do? Read this, it may help:
https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/4298/how-can-i-delete-the-last-x-blocks-from-my-local-copy-of-the-blockchain-and-retr
- typical number of blocks to pop out from your local copy of the blockchain is 1440 (mean 2 latest days).
