Is there confirmation from the devs on the hardfork? I've been mining ETH for the last few months and I'd like to back to XMR; holy crap my power bill on that dagger algo!!!

Fools! There's literally only Bytecoin left out of popular CryptoNote coins that will keep the CryptoNight hashing algorithm.

I'm using the GUI on MacOS and would like to move the blockchain to an external drive. How would I go about doing this safely?

First, make sure to gracefully exit all Monero processes. Subsequently, use:

So last night watched a BBT video https://youtu.be/eazA4AeIcqw on crypto markets but Monero fork was brought up and talked about a bit.  Mainly the fork coming because of this ASIC miner.

From a mining point of view just looking for information release from pools and dev's of what we will need to change on our end.  From the talk here in the past few days looks like new mining software is most likely to happen.  Hopefully all the pools will go with new fork.  I guess we will see how the pools flag once we have some fork info released by the Dev team.

Invaluable reference to validate Monero's unlinkabilty and untraceability claims, very interesting.

this video came out today and really explains the situation with Cryptonight. Even if those ASIC miners aren't for sale yet, they are mining with them as of now.

They are for sale already here - https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/baikal/giant-n but minimum order is 6, and they only accept wire transfer I believe.

Do you guys think Monero is currently undervalued? What catalyst will drive value of Monero?

In my opinion because of future regulations of crypto there privacy coins will come more expensive as privacy itself will cost a lot.
Undervalued? Not sure. Overvalued? Probably not.

The cash like anonymity of Monero is a very sought after feature in the crypto market. Some of that will be illegal stuff, other times it will be privacy centered people or speculators - but Monero is defiantly going to stick around and *probably* not going to dip below $200 (the next physiological line) unless the entire market takes a large turn for the worse.

Beyond that I'm not entirely sure.

I'd bet they started mining with them around 25th Aug 17, hashrate went up 35% in three days, then a whole lot more started coming online start of December

@monerocurrency on @LedgerHQ is getting closer. Big development for Monero as its built on its own blockchain and continues to receive new hw/sw wallet support.
