0MG!!! this is horrible! Sell!!!

Hey I asked a serious question here. I want Monero to succeed, but if the potential bugs and potential future encryption weaknesses are not adressed, then it won't. All it takes is 1 vulnerability in the protocol, and every transaction becomes deanonymized. Kind of a massive risk, for a privacy coin.

I agree.  We should all panic dump and nobody should ever buy Monnero again!

The Monerro Enterprise Alliance is worse than if the Ethereum Foundation and Dash Core mated and produced a scam-baby.

I hold both Dash and Monero, so we shall see which one performs better.

The first link however is interesting. I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

There was something else too, I can't find the link, where there was some bug in the previous hardforked editions that is why one of the hardforks happened to fix that bug.

It didn't deanonymized Monero, but it severely weakened the encryption scheme.

It has been fixed ,but we don't know whether something similar will happen in the future, that is why I am concerned.

To all those who feel Bytecoin is less that honest, please feel free to post here:

Am "trying" to create a space where people can have an honest conversation -- until I get voted into oblivion.

That same thing happened to me last week when I tried to preach anti-semitism in this orthodox temple! The fascists man. They are everywhere.

No I'm kidding. It's good that you do this. They can still make the same mistake. But atleast now they cant say nobody warned them.

I see a lot of websites are running layers where a Monero miner is running in background. Is something the Monero community is supporting? I don't like it at all.
this totally sucks
i've even saw mining as a CAPTCHA  Shocked
Browser are already implementing NoMine Features ...

Meh, I told them RPC was an attack vector years ago and my statements were ignored and then I was told not to worry about it as 0mq was coming to the rescue. I also tried to vet 0MQ but did not get cooperation in my attempts so gave up. Hopefully it was professionally vetted but my questions on the subject were never answered. I just got trolled about using the term wrapper for the interface and got sick of trying. Also I was making an argument for this, which I am glad was the end result.

In addition, the official Monero GUI doesn't use the RPC layer, and directly implements the libwallet_api for all its wallet functions.

I recall those events. In the end its hard to separate the willing from the trolls at points.

And, I think, the team have largely moved off to their own  forum. Just us stubborn guys still here echoing.

Yep, You kids get off my lawn! Tongue

Also Smooth is still here which is great to see as that's the DEV I trust the most, I don't interact with alot of them as a disclaimer.

I want a hardware wallet anyway, will Trezor need a new version to support Monero? or a software release?

Pretty sure ledger will have it done first, but IDK. I don't follow trezor as much anymore.

The Monero community has been looking forward to hardware wallet integration for some time now. A community member is currently working on a self-developed project. Furthermore, Ledger has confirmed they will add XMR support. Up until now, there was no real deadline for finalizing this integration. The developer working on it is advancing significantly. In fact, the integration may be completed sooner than people assume.

Do we have a date yet for when transaction fees are supposed to be reduced?

Once Bulletproofs go live. That's either March or September. In addition, you might be interested in reading:
