Purism, anyone? They've disabled that shit.
You mean like a security patch. Lol
This shit is integrated into chips microcode can always be rewritten anyone knows that. It is a design flaw whether intentional or not. There are backdoors in everything now. Hold onto you old hardware. Hell you can stick a usb stick on your system and it can rewrite this without you even knowing.
So you think this is pointless?
https://puri.sm/posts/purism-librem-laptops-completely-disable-intel-management-engine/Never said it was pointless (putting words in my mouth and then arguing against them is a logical fallacy as you well know
), I said the vulnerabilities are cooked in, back in the days when a Processor could not be changed from it's instruction code then it was safe as soon as you allow microcoding that can change instructions you have opened up the entire platform to vulnerabilities. Tell me you understand this?

The amount of vulnerabilities is astonishing
https://security-center.intel.com/advisory.aspx?intelid=INTEL-SA-00086&languageid=en-frClassic bofs? In 2017? Surely they have some old linux distro embedded eh? So old vulnerabilities became new? Interesting times.
Hopefully none of them can be triggered remotely.
Unfortunately the list of vulnerabilities that exist can be triggered remotely is extensive and not limited to ANY OS or manufacturer, I am of the opinion they are intentionally placed and then patched when found and exploited by the people not cleared to use them. But thats just me and my tinfoil hat.
Yeah intel has a long list for sure.
https://security-center.intel.com/advisories.aspxAnd Linux had a vulnerability for 20 years that just got "found out" a few years back, It's an OS that gives it's users a sense of security but like apple users, it doesn't keep you safe alone. TYhere are some nice OS's being developed with security in mod first like Qubes that I like.
That's pretty much why I care about this project, your right to not be spied on is freedom and we do not have that right nor are we legally allowed that right and I believe that is wrong. People think the constitution gives them that right and are raised to believe that when it is completely false.
Hello everybody from the Monero-Comunity
i have a question regarding the anonymity in Monero.
Can somebody explain to me how secure it is and how does it work ?
Is there any possibility to trace the transactions?
Regards
There is always a "Possibility" of tracing something it all boils down to how much time and effort it is worth to put into that task. Monero is the toughest nut to crack afa the world in general knows. Meaning it is the safest coin atm afaik.
