textbook exit pump after announcement of Komodo.

And you certainly aren't here to promote the project you just bought into. Certainly not. I love how the creators of that project think they invented the idea of cramming a myrkle tree hash of their transactions onto the bitcoin blockchain. Adorable. Cheesy

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Will the Monero GUI-wallet be as slow to sync as the simplewallet is?

If it will, will there be a light version of GUI available like bitcoin has Electrum?

Will the GUI support viewonlywallets?

Does the using of SSD as hard drive, make any wallet faster to sync? Or is it more depending about the processor?

How soon is soon?

GUI is a wrapper so expect the same performance and any command the CLI takes can be added to the wrapper.

Coin big pumpping. I'm happy to see this show.
I expect another show

Add miner to attracting coin : XMR
To miner Pumpping is apple to eat.
Pummping call miners to add rigs.
Xmr should have more hash than ETH.

Miners are jumping ship over to Monero

Looks like we can say goodbye to profits.

I haven't mined Bitcoin in a while but when I did so on a centralized pool or p2pool both I did I got payments once or twice a week. That's reasonable.

If miners are cool as you then it won't be a problem but they tend to complain about it.

Why are tx fee so high(from over 1USD to 3USD at todays prices), this coin is useless for small transactions. When we can expect lower fees?

Bitcoin never meant to be used for micro-transaction and Monero even less.
Monero is a very specialized crypto that focuses of anonymity only.

For micro-payments, "coins" like BitShares, etc, are suitable.

There is no XMR master owner.  Monero is not pre-mined.  There might be a few whales but no master owner to my knowledge.

Yes I never understood why DarkCoin (oh sorry Dash or any of the other names it has had) had a far bigger market cap than Monero. If markets would be deep and exchanges stable short Darkcoin long Monero was long the perfect trade (of course we have neither so shorting in crypto land is ill advised).

Then again I also don't understand why ETH, ETC and Ripple (not even a crypto) have larger market caps right now.

Darkcoin/Dash had a pretty good idea - primarily the way they used rewards to fund things. And the instamine holders seemed to not dump too heavily (as the price rose) and since they did their fair share of what amounts to advertising, a lot of buyers came in. It really did sound good to non crypto people.

Well, the Monero guys really put out some quality posts regarding the shortcomings in DASH. That saved a lot of people, really.

Regarding ETH and Ripple, I got that - with Ripple it was "legitimate" bank use, sky is the limit. With ETH, the next great Crypto tech.
This space is just a baby and some of the before mentioned may still "succeed" - depending on your definition.

I think it is hard for people to grasp what this space is, even those deep into Crypto - WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS REALLY IS AND WHERE IT IS GOING. It is truly a Black Swan and more baby black swan's are coming. Bitcoin might be 10's of thousands of dollars in a few short years. Monero might be a few hundred. And there may be a host of many more in the 10's...

And there will be tech coming, who knows what, that is different - just like ETH/LISK, Factom, etc. that will succeed. So, I won't get overconfident and say "I know..."

DASH is centralized, Ripple is even more centralized (it's not even a crypto) and ETH is Turing Complete which is a bad idea for many reasons.

DASH is as centralized as the master nodes allow (and they allow lol). I just don't like it for a host of other reasons.
I know that about Ripple, my point was it attracted money for the legitimacy reasons.
ETH - Yep, they made that mistake but without that mistake there is no ETH. Perhaps another does it a bit better than them. This tech still might work, but I ain't holding ETH/ETC.

Dash is centralized by masternode owners. Dash changing is determined by owner's mind. After dash pumping, masternode owner changing was small. It is strange to me,  small amount  dumpping by masternode owners.

For XMR, large demand win over dumpping, congratulation to xmr master owner.

GUI uses the "normal" daemon to sync, so I don't think there will be significant difference in syncing times. However, you could connect the GUI to a remote node, which kind of results in a light version then.

Will the GUI support viewonlywallets?

Likely later, when more advanced settings are visualized.

Does the using of SSD as hard drive, make any wallet faster to sync? Or is it more depending about the processor?

How soon is soon?

Yes, that makes a significant impact. An SSD is probably 3-5 times as fast sync wise than an HDD. Sync time also depends on the processor, but more so on kind of hard drive.

Probably with the next tagged release.

Yes, but is also very high considering mining....

This is true. Mining-pools can barely make payment few times a day with actual fees and the minimum payment will get higher.

I haven't mined Bitcoin in a while but when I did so on a centralized pool or p2pool both I did I got payments once or twice a week. That's reasonable.

Anyway, the standard tx fee is 0.01/KB which is $0.13. Many routine transactions are 1-3 KB (not counting those very large ones caused directly or indirectly by too-frequent pool payouts) so fees are more like $0.13-$0.39 most of the time, not $1-2.
