Sine secretum non libertas
No other coin offers the privacy, untraceability, fungibility, and security in a decentralized system (no trusted setup required).

The fact that monero does not require you to entrust your secrets and substance to the kindness and transparency of the Mossad seems like an important differentiator, and worth emphasizing if the Mossad ever gets around to releasing zcash.

XMR is the biggest scamcoin of the century... Mining from the start with no fair way to get in unless your a nerd with some mining gear but no girlfirends becuase you are all loser nerds.

Buy some lir and btc and support real innovation.

Real comments avoid baseless, unsupported claims and ad-hominems.

I got into XMR ~5 months after its release (which was completely fair) using only two mid-level CPUs. That's not exactly high-tech or high-cost mining gear. I still mine with those CPUs since I believe XMR is still very undervalued. No other coin offers the privacy, untraceability, fungibility, and security in a decentralized system (no trusted setup required).

On the contrary, it's not easy to find a more fair coin these days. Mining from the start was easy and CPU-based so no need for special mining gear. Perhaps mostly "nerds" doing it, but it could be argued that this is still true for most of crypto, which consist of ~95% males. Lack of mainstream adoption does not make it less fair. People choose what to spend their time on.

That brings us to your other point: that not having a girlfriend makes you a loser. To say that you must define what being a winner is. Clearly you think a winner is one with a girlfriend, I presume someone who goes the traditional way with a 9-5 job, married, house and kids?

I think this is a very simplistic outlook of the world. Why? Because not everyone has the same definition of winners and losers. I'm aware that the general view in society is such, but history has also shown us that the herd is often wrong. A girlfriend is an investment of your time and resources, and some chooses to not prioritize this. That does not make them losers, and arguing for such is bad because we need the outlines who invest their time into other areas. Shaming them to waste their life's away on something they do not have passion for is evil and hinders innovation. If they excellence in their chosen field I would argue that this is a more objective definition of a winner. Applying your own idea of winners and losers globally and without regard to peoples goals in life makes it a subjective definition, and very narrow-minded.

Lastly, Monero is real innovation, there is currently no better crypto currency with anonymity. Your claims are completely unfounded.

Sold all your XMR at a loss, eh? The butthurt is strong with you. Good luck with your lir, I'm happy holding my bag for a long time. Grin

the government is batshit crazy, and the variety of regulation is beyond human comprehension, and hence unpredictable.
Prosecutors play dirty; compliant, biased judges make unconstitutional rulings.
Times ten if you have a high profile political case like Ulbricht.

As a side note, does anyone have any idea about the legality of doing something otherwise perfectly legal on a place like a darknet market?

Legalities aside I would consider it an admirable and heroic form of protest.

Take only the risks you understand and are comfortable with.

It would most likely be treated as money laundering.  I disagree with that potential line... But that's where my money'd be.

Sadly it's probably not worth the risk. Sad
