Hello there, I have sent some XMR to my local wallet. The withdrawal from poloniex is completed but the address on simplewallet shows no balance nor incoming payments. Any hint (the address I typed into the withdrawal form is correct)?

When I launch the command get_tx_key I receive Error: no tx key found for this txid

As far as I know this is only available for senders, i.e., if you send out a transaction.

Have you typed the command 'refresh' on the command line to refresh the wallet?

That made the trick, thank you so much.

When transfering from simple wallet is there a command to send all funds to an address which includes the payment of the fee and leave a zero balance?

Yes - sweep_all. It may only be available on very recent versions of simplewallet and not in 0.9.4, I can't remember when it was added.

FYI: Not included in 0.9.4 yet, so currently only if you compile yourself.

does monero have any slack#?

no. #IRC serves exactly the same purpose, and doesn't limit your user numbers or messages and then hold your data ransom for fees. slack is a scam.

If you don't want to use an IRC client, you can use a web client like kiwi

https://kiwiirc.com/client

just enter #monero (for general monero chat) or #monero-dev (for more technical stuff). There are other channels as well.

You forgot to tell that it is on the Freenode Server xD IRC has some of those

Code:
Error: refresh failed: no connection to daemon. Please make sure daemon is running.. Blocks received: 0

I get this error when trying to run a refresh on a new wallet. My daemon is running and fully synced. I can open other wallets and use them without error, just not a new one. Any ideas?

OSX - 9.4.0-4d448a9

Are your simplewallet and daemon the same version? That looks like the error I got using a newer simplewallet, which wanted to use a new RPC method that doesn't exist in 9.4 daemon.

any chanse to get any free coin? or just we have to buy at the exchange?

http://cryptokingdom.me is kind of a faucet.

This is a game in which the player gets some free coins upon registering (moneretos 1 millionth of a monero).

Don't just take the coins and run, stay a while and play.

Alternatively, you could mine them on your PC. Although, that's not really free.

cross post from the mining thread

New Monero Pool (in india!)

http://indianodejones.moneroworld.com/#

Features a 5 XMR minimum payout threshold. No more transactions with 0.2 outputs!

(let me put on my salesman voice)

Tired of spending all your monero on transaction fees when you move your mining rewards to the market for ultimate dumpage? Why not mine at indianodejones.moneroworld.com, where the minimum payout is 5 XMR? Spending monero to move monero is just ridiculous, so why not mine more efficiently? Point your miners at http://indianodejones.moneroworld.com/# to reduce your transaction fees today!
