"Live free or die."

Any large margined shorts in NH would cause some entertainment, I think.

hey what did i miss
http://myrcraft.com/xmr.html
what will  happen 2 hour later on xmr ? This hard fork for what , about fee or another privacy on tor ?

Confidential transactions. Essentially observers of the blockchain not only will be unable to determine the sender and the recipient, after this fork they will also have no way of knowing the amount of monero sent in each transaction. Cheesy The privacy was "good enough" before, now its just... bananas.

How do the vets figure a BTC hike to about $700 would affect the $50/xmr year-end goal?

BTC @ 700 is pretty much a non event, so very little effect, IMO.  Initial dip in the XMR order book as some traders try to make the most (?) of their capital, perhaps. 1700 may be a different story, as it will garner a LOT of attention, taking some away from Monero.

What advantage does this service offer compared to just handing out the merchants address directly to the customer?

It would also be usefull to hand over just a fiat value and receive the according xmr amount. An average merchant can't code the conversion calculation nor doesn't he want to mandate someone for it.

edit: is it mainly that this service creates a unique address for each payment and manages the relationship between "order id <-> incoming payment"?

I am not vouching for it whatsoever, hence the quotation marks.

There was a lot of resistance at 165 its going to be an very interesting weekend. (still just holding and very relaxed Smiley) Some people maybe learned their lesson during first panic sell. It was not so big this time. Does anyone else looked at the lending market? For me it looked like only few medium shorters went in. Could become a short trap.

Indeed - the loan rates are extremely low, indicating very few shorts.

Edit:

Okay i give up, 210 will not be made...  Roll Eyes
