active nodes up almost 50% over a week ago.

Ughh where did those Greek ones go? I should finally spend some time figuring out how to connect that second hard drive on the VM and have a node running.

41 nodes in China.  I didn't put much interest in nodes. But was the case so far that that high % was in China?

The hawaiian is translated as: "Decentralized - Private - Electronic/Digital"

Meh, that leaves me wanting.  But that is a really nice design for a ShitCoin like Monero.  Why did you assholes go "plated", I'm all about solid gold?  At any rate, what mint did you guys use for these coins, would be nice to know.  Thx.

There was no code exploit in Ethereum itself. There is really no reason why the Ethereum devs should be involved at all, much less pushing forks. That they are involved, ask yourself why.

Good point.

Cryptopia XMR/ETH Market (and all other ETH markets) are closing, please cancel all open XMR/ETH orders.

"Cryptopia has decided to delist ETH as we no longer have faith in ETH to remain impartial and decentralised or to act in the best interests of all of its users."

Maybe I'm being brutal, but good for these guys.  Exchanges need to take a stand against blockchains that show they are little more than flimsy technology centrally controlled by a dictator.  It's really bad that there was a code exploit (but forgivable in some ways), but what is not forgivable is rolling back the blockchain to avert theft.  That destroys the social contract and has no place in crypto.

yes, fiat has a lot of network effects and is currently valued much much higher than privacy too.

specifically, i think proven hundred+ year security and ease of use are a bit more valued though.

you nail both of those, and i can guarantee you that you wont need to worry about network effects.

This is the only coin on the Bologniex casino that has any fundamentals whatsoever and it's worth less than Dogecoin.  Looks good for a 10x.  Literally every coin is completely useless except BTC, LTC, and this one.  But LTC doesn't really have a reason to exist...

They say markets are efficient, but this does not seize to amaze me. Apparently 'network-effect' and non-technical aspects are considered more valuable than privacy, fungibility and sound cryptography. Ah well, there are more things in the human nature that look crazy to me Smiley.

Why do you think even with all the shit going on no one wants to look here?

That seems false. There are new faces here as well as formerly-active people showing up again, and the same on the subreddit, etc. Happens every time the price goes up, which is understandable.

Would not be surprised if it is people firing up their nodes to access their cold storage. Long term this a good thing I guess, precious Monero's getting more distributed.
