Next to MoneroMooo's new proposal, he also gave an update on the official forum -> https://forum.getmonero.org/9/work-in-progress/334/fund-a-developer-moneromoo-will-work-part-time-on-monero-for-260-hours-over-approx-6-months?page=&noscroll=1#post-4252

@americanpegasus: Yeah they have a pretty awesome UI.

This feature is pretty cool I will have to check out:

There have been many improvements recently. Lets thank our development team for all their hard work!

So except MoneroMoo, who is also actively working on the monero code?

If you look at the commits you can see that moneromoo has been the most active recently. Before that there are a bunch of commits from  warptangent and the megacommit from NoodleDoodle.  On the development branch most of moneromooo's commits are duplicated, and there are also commit from twinget (cleanup and documentation projects), Shen (crypto) and various others  (roman, oranjuice, rostislav).

You can also see all of fluffypony's merge commit, which are mostly automatic, but he reviews them and sometimes there are issues, discussion, and sometime revisions needed before the actual merge.

https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/commits/master
https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/commits/development

Those are just the commits on the main project on the main repo. Other work either hasn't been committed to the main repo on the main project yet or is not part of the core applications. For example luigi developed the standalone transaction proof tool but that isn't on the main repo, Shen has done some work on mininero (python implementation of Monero's crypto) that is on his own repo (there is a project on the project repo, but I don't Shen's latest stuff has been merged to it yet), and I think NoodleDoodle is working on a few things too. I did the code changes for the block time change, which aren't committed yet. There are others in progress I'm sure.

Working on the Monero code also includes reviewing, testing, coming up with new ideas, working on the mining infrastructure etc. in my opinion. It's not merely coders that contribute. So next to the list of GingerAle, a lot of other people are working on the code.

First row is total XMR offered, second is total XMR demanded, last row is weighted average interest rate.

Whoa; I had no idea that Bitcoinwisdom let you see the XMR/BTC pair!  They're my favorite price tracking site for BTC, and now they just got better!

Someone took out ~12k in shorts around 12:00 PM UTC and immediately dumped it on the market.

americanpegasus, thanks for educating the less knowledgeable. I don't know if your vision will ultimately pan out, but it is compelling to read about it.

Why do you have parentheses around XMR and AEON in your signature?

I removed them, but when doing that with the BTC ticker it auto-generates the bitcoin symbol.  I guess it was a small protest that this website only does that feature for Bitcoin and not Monero yet.   Wink

I like the new signature but think the font is too small.

I increased it a little, even though it doesn't display correctly on the Profile page anymore.  Sad  I figured it's big enough now that if you want to look at it, it's there without being garish.   Also, I gotta acknowledge that I ripped the design from the Magical Dice signature campaign and reformatted it for my own use.  Someone worked hard on making their signature campaign pretty.

A continuation for all purpose programming of what needs to get done in Monero (by MoneroMooo)

From what I can tell everyone appears happy with the work he has done so far. Earning his commitment for another 450 hours seems like the wise decision.

Ok guys, just bought my first big amount of XMR, couldn't ride the bitcoin train anymore and feel like this is the best price to buy in bulk... Even though it's not an astronomical amount that people like AP would consider "big", but it's pretty huge for me given my budget I'm working on.  Just thought I should share with my new found fam  Grin

Just imagine the people that scraped together enough $ to buy 500 or 1000 bitcoins back in the day thinking they didn't have much compared to the other guys.

Time both humbles us and exalts us all.  Both of us might lose our ass, but I feel this is a risk worth taking for me.  Even if I lose, I'll know I lost supporting something worthwhile.

Yeah, ever since I stumbled upon XMR and was introduced to it by people like you on the subreddit, I have been trying to scrape as much money as I can to put into XMR... I was honestly trying to ride the bitcoin train to accumulate as much as possible, but I honestly can't see it going any higher right now and feel like this is the best XMR/BTC ratio we'll see for sometime.  At least I hope so (lol).  I just don't see how XMR won't be a success... it's just too good.

Edit: Also, just curious, does poleniex calculate how much is being converted from bitcoin to XMR?  I have looked for my purchase earlier to see if it was on there, and it wasn't.

Regarding your edit, if I recall correctly you can analyze your trades somewhere and also calculate an average.
