Congratulations CryptoNote friends!

I think the meaning of this Tweet is obvious:

@BBRcurrency We will be listing at least one CryptoNote coin this week. 2.0 integrations in general have been slow for us. But not anymore

"We will be listing at least one CryptoNote coin this week" surely must mean Monero

Please thank me for sharing the news by following my Twitter account.

I'd guess you're correct, since there were some cryptsy folk in #monero-dev asking for help/suggestions with operating rpc wallet/daemon.

Glad to hear that. I felt bad after accidentally briefly spreading false rumors a short while back after being approached by a fake Cryptsy account @crpytsy account on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/cryptsy/status/629043318714986496
Luckily I figured it out quickly (after an XMR community member questioned the legitimacy of the direct messages I received) and never paid the scammer for a listing.

I think this time it is really true! For sure we know its from the real @cryptsy account!

Not to be negative, but after the internet journalist from whatever bogus site spoke out regarding sketchy activity and forced articles I wouldn't be surprised to see BCN listed there after supplying a fat consideration bonus.

I doubt it will be BCN, it only has some volume on HitBTC, a shady (probably scam) exchange.

And also because what jwinterm says, although I've heard about Cryptsy trading Monero since like the beginning of the coin but whatever.

I don't even like Cryptsy, as most of the altcoin scams happened there, but hey it will increase the number of places where Monero can be traded.

Dude...do some homework. ETH is an interesting tool to pave the way for smart contracts, prediction markets, etc but it doesn't do shit for privacy. It's also premined liked crazy, making it a dubious instrument for competing as money.

+1 it looks cool but its not in the same market as Monero and for being premined I'll be keeping away forever.

I'd Like to join CK too. How does one join?

To join just PM me with your desired name, age and sex for your character. If you don't feel imaginative, many people just use their username.

I will reply with some good references for new players and your deposit info.

This thread is pure comedy.  Your shitcoin is getting wiped out by ETH. No more new money for your shitcoin. Might as well pack up those bags you're holding and fuck off home eh?

And now that you have read this, I kindly bode you to read the first letter of every paragraph.

Brilliant. You should consider joining CK, might like it...   Wink

Well, since I'm being invited by the founder, how can I say no?

I will try it this week.  In my life, I've spent $30 in real money on bitcoin fucking billionaire, another $20 on Infinity Blade games, and at least $200 that one time back in 2012 I got addicted to MapleStory (addictive Korean cyber crack -  stay away!).

I can drop a few dollars on the first major Monero based game world.  I'm assuming you are planning ahead to future mobile development, because that's the gold mine.

I'd Like to join CK too. How does one join?

Just received some btc which is earmarked for XMR purchases.  That should guarantee we don't see the 220's again. Grin

Keep it easy, pal. I'm trying to load up here.  Wink

srsly, lemme get some more cheap coinz!

Sorry that's not how I meant it.  My purchases will not be that big.

I was commenting on my luck.  I buy when I have btc and that usually coincides with the price going up.  Although I was able to get some in the .00195>.00220 range before the recent rise from there.

I have been building my Monero house brick by brick and was doing so last when the price was considerably higher than more recently.

You guys can relax Smiley

True. 80% of monero mining power comes from botnets. These people (mostly chinese) don't care about 5% - 15% price difference. I dont think this will change anytime soon Sad

It would be helpful if you could provide conclusive proof of this number, or even any proof at all.

I know of one independent observer who was hired to write hit piece about Monero being mined by botnets last year. His conclusion:

They asked me to investigate into accusations that Monero was mined exclusively (or almost exclusively) with malware powered botnets.
Instead, I found evidence that it was mostly mined with cloud computing. You can tell because the difficulty (at least around summer 2014) would mirror the prices at Amazon. When it went up, the difficulty went down and when it went down the difficulty went up.
When I tried to write that story, they killed it, so it never got published

In other words, the constant loud chorus we heard last year of "Botnets! Botnets! Botnets!" was a complete and utter load of horseshit, which is exactly what I said at the time based on my analysis of mining costs and difficulty. I still think think it is horseshit today. Although the difficulty and costs don't support cloud mining any more, they do support mining with reasonably-efficient hardware at reasonably-low electricity prices, even with a bit of a profit. If mining were dominated by botnets, that would not be the case.

There are probably botnets, of course, but nowhere near 80%. If much of the mining is Chinese, which is may be (I don't know) that is probably GPU farms that got repurposed from Scrypt. Or maybe something else, but not botnets.

Good to hear. Do you have any other relevant information to add before you leave?

Yes. Sell moneroshit and buy ETH or end up in the poorhouse.

Goodness! I had done all this research, and spent time looking into the code and history of Monero, and I've spent so much effort making sure my investment in Monero was at least based on fair principles, even if the venture failed on its own legs.

Ethereum?  I had decided to stay away, initially.  A massive pre-sale, plus new allegations of an additional premine.... It just didn't add up to me.

This position was obviously ill founded.

Obviously, despite my hundreds of hours of research and diligence, I am wrong.

Understanding is evidently not acquired through careful analysis but by listening to the whispers and winds of bitcoin talk.

Thank for you taking the time to create a new account and educating us old fools on the light and truth.  I have seen the light.  And now that you have read this, I kindly bode you to read the first letter of every paragraph.

Maybe once your technologically illiterate users find out there's a new game in town they'll abandon ship.  Might not be for a few weeks until ethereum gets a gui and the auger crowdsale happens then it bye bye moneroshit hopefully forever.

That's certainly a strong prediction. You might want to consider shorting. It can be profitable under the right circumstances.

I'm not a trader I'm a hodler.  Heed my warnings.
