How many here are still investing in XMR?
I remember when BTC was at $500 after it crashed from $1000 and was thinking that it was "too expensive" to invest. Boy was a wrong.

Is $400 XMR "too expensive" or is it still a bargain?

Few days on reddit someone asked if we believe Monero will ever be worth $10000.  I answered him that $10k worth Monero would be $160 billions of marketcap, what top500 richest people on earth gained only in January and February, so in 2 months.

Not sure why people ask these questions about if somethings still cheap or expensive, in essence asking whether it will go up or down

No one.. NO ONE knows anything about which way this market will go up/down/sideways otherwise they would be multi millionaires and probable billionaires.

Do your own research and invest accordingly ....

Well this is the speculation thread. You speculate about the price. This is basically the watering hole where "traders" talk up or down the prices

No talking is going to affect the price.  Those moving the price, are not talking.

I agree with this sentiment, although who here remembers BCX/BitcoinEXpress.

I saw a flag pattern last few days expecting a small up now.

There it is, I was targeting only about 3.25 based on the pattern. A small up.

Its at 3.168 now

Developers meting had one good and one bad news.   Good news is that MyMonero and Apple after 2 months of no news started moving again.  Bad news is that there is tiny chance we will see Bulletproofs in springs hardfork. There will be another developers meeting next Sunday about it.

I personally will sell every XMR I have (which I dont Smiley)

Allow me to tremble at the thought! (but I won't Smiley)

And by the way... If Monero were worth $8000 per coin it would still not be valued as highly by market cap as ETH.  So it can rise a lot before that is even a remote possibility.

How do people here compare XMR to ETH (obviously they are different platforms focusing on different things)? ETH has major backing but do the highly informed here think XMR has potential to rival it?
ETH is a centralized, mutable, unscalable, non-fungible corporate backed cyber-kitteh platform.  It has nothing whatsoever to do with cryptocurrency, or currency at all.

XMR is a grass-roots, community funded, decentralized, immutable, permissionless, fungible money.

Not sure how or why one might compare them.  XMR is money.  ETH is an incorrect answer to a question that will never be asked.

Wait... where is that like button?

What to make of the vast discrepancy between the prices? Why the high valuation in ETH if it is not useful at all? Crypto is very strange indeed.

Marketing wouldn't be a trillion dollar (or whatever) industry if it didn't work at all.  Look at all the ICOs that were pure scam, but required ETH to FOMO on. The only explanation I have is that people are stupid and greedy herd followers.  Tron?  Ripple?  Cryptofukingkittehs?  Give me a break.  In the end, it doesn't much matter.  We all win, because there is Monero.  In addition to an excellent and constantly improving currency, XMR, the Monero project offers to the world things like Open Alias and Kovri.  Price will follow.

They are too different to really compare in my opinion.
