A friend of mine always sells his monero at 0.020 and buys back at 0.016 (I guess many do this), he just told me that he sold a few days back. This has been working for a long time. It will be interesting to see if we will go back to those levels or if this is a permanent level increase. The last real level increase (in relation to BTC) was summer of '16.
is this for real?or should i say effective strategy for trading?now i have learn new to gain profit.but another thought is what if i hold after buying 0.020 for lets say 2 weeks, would i still earn?or may price drop for me to lose?

Bithumb connects directly to your bank account, making it much easier to fund, which increases the supply of fiat relative to crypto.  Also it is limited to Korean nationals by regulations, so any incoming crypto must come from other Koreans.  Since few Koreans have any crypto, the supply is low.

I have opened a bank account in Korea in order to arb this, but I will still need a trusted local Korean national to comply with the new regulations, so I have not yet begun.  There was one full arb cycle performed a few days ago, using bittrex and bithumb, but the spread is back.  The new regulations broke that loop, presumptively.

I presume that Yoonsuh88 is a drive-by troll account.

We are looking into this as well. My friend's girlfriend is South Korean and he will be in Seoul in two days. There are regulations in place that restrict inbound and outbound capital but we don't have a complete picture yet. If you want more information you can pm me.

Anybody else having problems withdrawing xmr from poloniex? My withdrawal has been pending for a couple of hours.

Sometimes specially if is bigger withdrawal and they dont have enough XMR in hot wallet it takes some more time.

I juts noticed Users currently online: 63383. I never saw this many. but also did not put much interest in it since lately exchange was without any lag.  It seems Poloniex did well when stepped off the pedal and let others exchanges to take front rows.

Some days the XMR withdrawal is shitty. I usually wait 20min and withdrawal something else if it didn't go through.

Probably a good place to get cheap xmr for long term holding.  A super-effective strategy by binance staff to get cheap xmr.

@explorer is there anyway to find out what is going on at bithumb and why XMR/KRW always trade at such a premium? Are there any simple answer to this, or is it much more complex? Huh How hard is it for me to sell 1000XMR on bithumb, send USDT to bittrex, and buy XMR there? Thanks for any response in advance

And I have a colleague from south Korea, who could feasibly help me translate something. I'm also interested.

IMO Koreans are just crazy gamblers, punting on anything that moves.  As yet, I've not come across any, let alone a good explanation.  Being kind of a closed market, arbitrage is very difficult.  If you can figure it out, you will profit.  Be first.

USDT is rarely valued at $1 exactly, so it is a poor measure.  Also Poloniex XMR tether volume is ~10% of the BTC market (which I trade, ergo my measure for price).

Korean here, also a monero holder

lol u guys wouldnt believe how crazy we are. so many stories

you are right, most of us are just clicking buttons and riding the wave.

lmk if u guys have any questions regarding korean market or bithumb

I maybe talking shit through lack of experience Smiley
It's not shit talking.  It's speculation.

Man, XMR's rallies are always followed by deep crashes.  Each bottom is only a little higher than the last.
Just chillax, Monero.

Except when those bottoms are 0.0016 and 0.0058.  For one example  Wink
I know all about it.  I've been in the coin since May 2014. Smiley
Actually I think I waited until June to buy and paid about .007, right near the peak of the second pump.
Story of my life.

Not sure what is happening here but I certainly like it. Oh my glorious XMR. It is showing it's true dominance for privacy and finally cutting off those leashes.

It seems for the first time Monero volume might go over $1 billion.   Right now we have $314,278,000 on Bithumb and $501,461,000 USD  on other exchanges.   Last high was $650m at Globee launch.

Now is the time to buy, considering that rumor says the webwallet is out in 2 weeks..

How reliable is the source of that rumor, if I may ask?

Or just link to it please Smiley

That comment is three years old, ffs.

I think the main correction index now is total market cap... 1 trillion is a psychological number

I see a lot of talk about a major correction and fully expect to see pull backs but we are in a period of exponential growth and believe the retractions we see will recover far quicker than before. For example on Tuesday morning we hit a new all time high, then we had an ABC correction to around $317 but within 24 hours we are sitting higher than ever.

BTW. I maybe talking shit through lack of experience Smiley
