Damn I wish I had a Bitfinex account and some liquid BTC, BCH just looks perfect for a Good short!
Is there really any time that BCH looks bad for a short?

I closed mine at 017 also and opened another at 0161 in a bit of trouble now hope it recovers.

I wish I had, I thought about it but backed out not knowing where to call it anymore. I'ts like being in the first day of school after the summer break since Alphabay and more so after BitThunb. Cheesy

OK fair enough, but speculation on where the money in the market is going (especially if it isn't XMR) is not totally irrelevant.

To stay OT then:

We stalled before 0.017, meaning the daily won't be green - why do you think that is?

Looks like profit taking already? It seems like this market has been irrational (from what it has been for years) but I'm concluding that the sheer scale of the players are back to market manipulators and this might be an indicator of another BTC rise.[/quote]

W0w, looks more like a BCH rise.

Who woulda thunk it? Man
I need to get the memo on this shit! Where's my chinese connection? We say bitcoin banned but BCH good now.

Am I going crazy or it says [XMR] Monero Speculation in the Subject line of this topic? What's up with these chinese bitcoin posts?

The larger picture of the market is very relevant.

We get added to a new exchange two new exchanges and - whad'ya know? - the price goes down.

The longer I'm in this market, the less I know.

I hear you, We need a Bill Maher's New rules market segment whenever this shit changes, Lol
I almost closed my long (still in red) @170 figuring there would be a retrace but just don't feel confident in calling either the top or the bottom of these swings anymore.

It will be interesting to see how this bch pump ends. Not going to predict that money gets funneled into alts (or the only one more cash than btc cash), so I won't.

I can't see BCH going away, it's now basically the only fork, Jihan is not selling his mined stash in order to prop it up and (to some extent) it is a little bit of 'black swan event' insurance if Segwit / Lightning - or even scaling prove to be an issue down the line.

Core has won, for now - but having a few BCH must look worthwhile to some...

I would be taking advantage of the pump, rather than doubling down on a poor man's digital cash, but that's me.

I too, If I wasn't 100% XMR I would have already done that. Then I would be wondering when the re-entry point would be. Hah this market hurts my head. Smiley

Damn you, Monero - Bitcoin goes up and you slide down as a rule.

Now it's going down and you too?   We need to talk.

I agree, and most of what I ever get incoming goes into XMR and BTC which is 90% + of what I hold in crypto.  If it wasn't for the boating accident XMR would be way over 65% of my entire CC holdings (hodlings, even?) by now...

The daily MA crossed yesterday, if today goes green (and it is fighting to do just that now) we are looking good.

Seems someone is dumping just enough to keep it under.

It looks like around 017 is the line to cross to confirm bullish trend is cemented in.  But with BTC under 7K, it depends on whether the money goes back to 'buy the dip' or seeks refuge in rising alts...

Never a dull moment, eh.

Another exchange adding Monero:

https://twitter.com/coinut_exchange/status/928925268516859910

It seems it is not a new exchange since but strange it was only now added to coinmarketcap

Binance is 10th exchange by volume so Monero listed there is a big deal.

yeah it's been interesting watching the "post-attack" happenings.
I was expecting to shoot back into the low 004 range, but as it turns out we're still on a slight decline.

It's weird how everything has kind of gone silent, anticlimactic if you will...even the trolls seem to have moved on.

I'll be buying more soon to keep the cost average down in case it dips further in any case

Well, wankalone went a little quiet.  But it seems the louder the trolling, the better the bounce with XMR.

So, much as they annoy, it's usually a good sign.

The 'path of least resistance' as one old timer used to say, seems to be up just now, IMHO.  But as always BTC price dominates the show and it's still nervy - maybe waiting to confirm S2X is really dead....
