What is the prevailing theory about the origin of the trolls in this thread? They seem to arrive mid-late bear markets, are completely belligerent, and speak in broken English. They are overly hostile and their methods are completely ineffectual. They are unique to the bitcointalk forum, and not seen in other public forums. I'm a long-time lurker on this thread, but I finally had to make an account so I could start blocking them so I wouldn't have to read their inane babbling.

Reversal zone is close indeed. XMRBTC price is reaching its current bottom of 0.0126 - then it should rebounce. No break of 0.0156 means you go to the drain again - propably 0.01 . Nice to have you all buying my shorts. ShortMeMore.

You are telling crap @generalizethis. You are totaly wrong. Only small bunch of ppl prize the privacy. All other of the herd are only wanting security not privacy. They work for other ppl to have something and they do not care what is money. Most do not even realize that FIATs have no value cause banks create FIATs on their own. The same is with cryptos. Marketing wins and lack of problems. The same with stability. noMore can be privacy coin but it is like BITCOIN 6 years ago - niche usage noone interested. Remember - Most of herd does not care about privacy look at fcukbook or jewtube. PPL love to share. PPL love to be secure and cosy while somemone is watching what they eat, how they grow children etc. 90% of ppl are stupid and totaly does not care about privacy so thats why you are WRONG. Privacy is considered value for less than 10% ppl. Comfortability, popularity and ease of usage and functionalities are the BIGGEST arguments which ShortMeMore unfortunately lacks...
And why security is most prized by herds of ppl? Look at the hacks, at the DAO, at the ETC creation - ppl will invest in something that is SECURE not private. break of privacy does not change value like break of security... Remember the gox and the other hacks like finex. When ppl realized that bitcoin can be tracked by blockchain 5 years ago or when Ulbricht was arrested BTC price was influenced very little...

TBH, I think it would have a greater run than Bitcoin in Zimbabwe or Venezuela if people understood its advantages--it's not good that authorities (or unauthorized thugs) can  track your use of a currency outside of their crumbling system.

I'm very happy with my XMR investment this year - think there is significant room for growth once ZEC is no longer considered an alternative. I see the techs like this

 * BTC - fully public ledger (similar to public accounts)
 * ZEC - hidden ledger, but still visible to the authorities (similar to bank accounts)
 * XMR - fully private ledger (similar to keeping cash in a safe or stuffed under a mattress - in terms of traceability)
 
All have their purposes and I see XMR as a very important piece in the jigsaw
