Out into bitcoin after over 1 year HODL. 0.016 the target in next two weeks. Probably going into another more mainstream cryptocoin in next alts upsurge. Most dissapointing crypto of the bigger alts.

Good to know. I'm sure someone will light a candle.

It should... but so far we have lowest 1D RSI of the year... Lower was historical 24 was at begining of november of 2016.... Now we have 25. Market oversold and still selling.

I still hold Monero because I believe still have a promising prospect, now prices fall compared to August or September, but I think this becomes an opportunity to invest and earn profit in the future.

Definitely Monero is the best coin for the miners. I found most of the miners choose monero and zcash to mine and get the profit. If you buy and hold it now. After btc hard fork this value may increase more than 70% of the amount what we are seeing now.
Expecting XMR wallet in blockchain wallet soon along with the BCH or Bitcoin Gold.

What's next?

BTC at 10K USD, DASH and ETH at 0.1, XMR at 0.022?

I feel disgusted.

Wouldn't that be a price of $220 though? more than double the now price.

Too right.  And he is still disgusted, personally (like you) I would not be.

Mathematical value understanding in this thread often perplexes me.
I mean - if you want to cash out, how do you judge it?  No one seems to count their wealth by the seemingly obvious metric of 'fiat value'.

Who at home tells their other half 'Guess what, I am now worth 'X' Bitcoin', rather than 'Guess what, I am now worth X thousand dollars (or EUR / GBP)'. Houses, cars and holidays are not generally advertised in terms of their Bitcoin price.

I know how I calibrate my spreadsheet...

I’m not just in this for the money. I ideologically support it. I contribute to the infrastructure, help code wallets etc.

The BTC price is a barometer for success as a crypto. I’d prefer 0.1 BTC and a usd rate of 50usd, than 0.02 and 100usd.

Just HODL your horses, should be apparent by now when BTC is gaining traction after a dump alt coins get dumped, force of nature.

I cannot believe we are back under 0.02.

Fuck me.

It's more BTC rising than XMR falling - against USD it's a still $90.

Hardly catastrophic.

Yup, but it's an indication that holding Bitcoin would be much more preferable than holding Monero atm, ride that trend, then buy back more Monero.  I'm looking for more ways to get more XMR before it surges for 1K USD.  With all the lulz going on in BTC, it's bound to happen.

There is significantly drop in prices of XMR with respect to previous weeks. The news of Multisig is there yet there is no bullish movement but in real sense we are dropping significantly, will we have a time again when LTC and XMR are at the same starting line altogether?

I may risk sounding pretty dramatic... but multisig is probably by FAR the most meaningful addition to Monero's features on the docket.  Hopefully it can be a point release, but of course let's let the devs get it right.  Patience. Wink

As is widely but probably not universally known, our multisig will not require a hard fork and will not be distinguishable from regular (single signer) transactions on the blockchain.

I don't know what that means in terms of when it gets released. More about what it doesn't mean (doesn't have to wait for a hard fork release nor activation)

For some reason XMR seems to stay less coupled to BTC than other alts...

Numerically that hasn't really held true. I've looked the data and both XMR and most other alts are highly correlated with BTC (and each other). XMR is actually more toward the "more correlated" end of the spectrum.

There are maybe some exceptions but for the most part if you are buying or holding any in particular, you are either betting on a decoupling in your favor (over some time horizon might be short or long), or hoping that the relatively small residual is in your favor (of course both can be the case).

I am either defining something backwards or just fully mistaken in my appraisal.  What I notice is when alts sell off during a BTC rise Monero tends to do so with less momentum.  This is the case now.  While other alts are down 8-15% XMR is down 6%.  And when alts rise WITH BTC Monero does less so.

But it could certainly be some sort of confirmation bias.  I have done no spreadsheet or real study.  I do not trade on it.  I do not really trade...

I gave up on Monero and switched to NEO... Wish me luck Smiley

Quite a shame, I liked this money... Wish you the best, Monero !

YUP GL, you got more balls than me. I wouldn't buy a chines coin right now. And every single time I sell my Monero's the price spikes and I have to buy back higher (usually MUCH MUCH higher!).
