So once ether goes metropolis soon, many will naturally flock to xmr and kill the difficulty here, but regardless, there will be alot of new interest in XMR. do miners have a positive or negative affect to the price of an alt coin? or does this simply not matter in terms of coin value?

Professionalism becomes mandatory as some point, I am pointing out a glaring discrepancy between the way he addresses the two positions. I'm sorry if you don't like my opinion, but I speak my mind and do not worship at anyone's alter. Nor do I run to a sockpuppet account if I am going to say something out of the party line.
I don't dislike your opinions at all. In fact I enjoy reading many of your comments on this thread. I only question the value of expecting someone to behave (or dress) a certain way when they have no obligation to do so whatsoever. He's a person on the internet who does whatever he wants, and just because he generally knows what he's talking about and gives a good speech, that doesn't somehow make him obligated to be our representative.
We have no leaders. No heroes. Only voices.
I have never been so bullish on XMR like now.
Gentlemen, Monero is a highly active, undervalued project.
Add the decreasing emission to this and we will see prices around 500 USD not very far from now.
- Look at the reddit community, we have nearly 26k subscribers, 2500 online sometimes. Growing so fast.
- Future technological upgrades and research from Monero lab are simply huge: I2P Kovri, Multisig, Lightwallets, RuffCT, maybe Zidechains and pruning
- Real world integration with Fluffyponies FFS into market places which will present XMR to millions of users

Well a FFS was just funded for a person that has been giving presentations all throughout Europe. BTW this was the 3rd FFS that was funded all for relatively small amounts.
