Alternatively Dash becomes mainstream and I hold the Dash and have a fun story to tell ;-) But we all invest what we can afford to lose anyway right?

I'm not betting on any crypto going mainstream in the near future, but I agree it's the ultimate goal for a lot of us here. Cheers to fun stories  Smiley

If you look again I think you find the bytecoin crippled miner 'bug' affected monero after the fork and the launch.

Yes. Monero certainly inherited some of Bytecoin's shit, which in this case took a few weeks to discover and fix. How many coins do you think could have been nefariously mined in that short period? Remember, the reward schedule was not altered.

Who is the victim of the scam?

Everyone is the victim, because when the ponzi crumbles it will happen without warning. If you take your profits and get out now, you will have a fun story to tell. But Evan himself will not escape this debacle unscathed.

And what about the monero crippled miner launch? Scam aswell ?

Yes, Bytecoin is indeed a scam, which is why Monero forked away from it.

Monero looks like it has had a classic bubble and dead cat bounce. Sentiment is now fear and denial I'd guess. Next is panic.

Exactly. Cf. BTC and meditate. Peace.

That doesn't appear to be the case at all. We might be a couple weeks away from a USD ATH.

The thing is I don't know why you waste so much time trolling Dash (and other crypto from what I've heard) do you think this somehow makes Monero look good? Let me advise you, it reflects very badly on your favourite token. If its true that you are paid to troll us then I think whoever is doing that needs to go and meditate.

Calling a scam a scam does not a troll make

But I wouldn't expect a Dash fanboy to comprehend

So good luck with your 'investment'

Considering I'm doing quite well with my 'investment' I fail to see how I was scammed. Must be some weird logic that makes sense to Monero fanboys I suppose.

Good luck with your 'investment' too

The monero community is aware that what we are dealing with is something very important and thus it should be as solid as it can be. There is no room for error/flaws. Dash has been fairly proven to not be up to the task to the ideal of what a cryptocurrency should be like with centralization and various other things. Monero is not a company after all. The reason Dash seems to be doing so good is because they are user-friendly oriented with insane marketing but which the Monero devs thankfully have their priority straight and want to allocate all their strengths to the coding over marketing first.

There are more features to come so marketing an unfinished coin could backfire (if bugs/weaknesses are found). Also, over time the usability and adoption of XMR will exponentially increase as the coding is done and available to more people for adoption and as the coin has proven to be trustworthy

In the end all of this is speculation but I will take my bet with Monero over Dash in the long term. I just see no future for dash in the long run.

Good luck to you.

A scam may make other people rich in the process, doesn't make it less of a scam.

Call me when xmr is back at 0.5$
I don't think that'll happen any time soon. I feel that at the very least the darknet will keep it going. As said by others though, perhaps 0.5BTC......

been there done that, many times already...

Call me when xmr is back at 0.5$

U mean 0.5 Bitcoin instead of 0.5 dollar?

nope, 0.5$, AFAIK xmr has never ben 0.5BTC before... I was implicating that maybe with xmr at 0.5$ I would feel a light sence of panic, but I'd probably just buy more...

The chart I posted was from the btc-runup in 2013... many many many people sold in panic at the bottom of that bubble (about 70$), now btc is 1130$

TLDR: panicking sucks, certainly when a coin has primo fundamentals, just like xmr...

Ok clear thx. I am holding Monero from when price was 0.6 $ and still holding. 100$ and I would maybe consider to sell a few but still then :p... Maybe I'm to optimistic but I believe in Monero. Going to start mining soon, just waiting for the parts to arrive.
