Imagine if there is someone wanting to own 1 million Moneros with a lot of fiat/btc..  Roll Eyes

Not even 2 weeks ago I had a longer talk with some entrepreneurs (biotech/health), one of them made some nice money with BTC years ago, with that profit he founded his companies. Now he was totally out of crypto, although some of his friends were still into blockchain, but they were pretty blind to XMR. As I told him detailed about XMR properties and the recent price changes/attention, his eyes went bigger and he asked me indeed if going in with several millions of Euro would stir the price at the moment.  Grin

I told him to perhaps to wait a little bit till the price and dust settles and then decide to go in.
Many forget how we play with small money here around 6-15 USD per coin and a small market cap for a huge game changing project.  Wink

I hope they will start buying it because Monero needs new investments in order to grow bigger. In my opinion it deserves larger market cap than bitcoin, but to achieve this there need to be some buying from the weak hands into the stronger hands.

The good news, from the observations of the Polo, the number of coins in the range 0.03 increased sharply last 10 thousand, and the number of coins in the range of 0.02 decreases, you can see for yourself. This is a positive trend in increasing prices.

I just made an account to confirm what you say is true. I am a 1% earner in a G7 country. Given the systemic risk in the current financial system, Monero offers significant promise, and I am investing accordingly. Short term volatility is immaterial to my interest in Monero. Busy adults who are important in the real world don't troll internet forums. These trolls have an agenda, and aren't fooling anyone who matters.

Everyone with a little bit of brain left should ask himself if it is realistic for XMR, a coin with a strong growing community, full funded development, tons of updates ahead, marketed by mass media, with a current growing real use and market to be around 6 USD per coin while DASH and ETH are between 11-12 USD? How realistic is it?

Not very much? Right.
Now ask yourself who is filling right now their bags with the buy orders placed and decide if you want to fill them. Wink

Jaxx will offer a XMR wallet already in 2 weeks, I guess the official one will come out before that.

It is not surprising that the price fell under 0.01, before the alphabay owners created the xmr hysteria the price was below 0.001 and 0.004, now it turnes out the xmr usage for these markets is almost zero and the hysteria is over. With time buyers are willing to pay less and less, hence the weal buy-support despite the fact that the price is less than 0.01

Bagholders will lose big, the winners are shorters and people that bought xmr early and sold during the hype, now the hype is over

we are now soon in the capitulation phase, the sell-offs are still slow, it was actually more intense the last time the price fell below 0.01 but the buy-support is much weaker now.

What we are likely too se is a slow decrease in price, it is likely to increase many times to be dumped down again even lower by desperate bagholders. The price is now being kept up by a large buy-walls, how long will that wall last?

The reason why the buy-side of the orderbook is larger is becuase sell-orders rarily get filled now and the price is decreasing, if you   baghold xmr it is smart to sell no and go short, then you are much more likely to get your money back.

Adoption takes time, especially as the GUI isn't out yet, a lot of people don't feel comfortable with the command line. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Yeah that quote pretty much sums it up perfectly.
We got a lot of hype from the darknet adoption, but now people are realizing that most vendors are still not accepting it.
For what reason, I don't know.
If I was mailing Fentanyl to people, I would do everything possible to prevent myself from ending up in prison when they died of an overdose.
I'm guessing most of the dealers don't actually realize how easy it would be to track them through Bitcoin addresses.

Anyway, I'm actually really surprised XMR went below 0.01
I figured that was the bottom.
(A psychological thing. But nothing about Bitcoin or Altcoins seems logical I guess.)

Nice comment from reddit:

"The market depth cannot be 'bullish' or 'bearish', generally (obvious exceptions in more extreme examples). Monero has remained stable against BTC in the last week despite increases in BTC (so thus has gone up against USD).

Monero remains uncertain. It always has been. It has had a 'hype cycle', and is now 100% below its all-time high. However it is also well over 100% over what it was at the start of August. It has continuing strong support from a wide developer base, a robust roadmap moving forward, as well as an unpeered underlying mechanic.

As soon as alphabay announced adoption, everyone lost their underwear, and the price skyrocketed. When it became clear that the actual use in the markets has been increasing only slowly, the bottom fell out of the market and we dropped from 0.02 to 0.01. Adoption will, however, continue to slowly increase.
Monero is fungible and untraceable, and the use case for it in the DNM is going to become more and more clear (sadly, perhaps, at the cost of several bigger players who continue to use BTC being busted by blockchain analysis).

For what it is worth, I sold over half of what I held at around 1.8 and now have bought fully back in. The future for Monero is bright. How bright is uncertain, but I feel that it will have an indisputable role to play in the coming crypto era."

People are saying for long time that a GUI will soon be launched...

I think this time it's serious.
