eh, I spoke to soon, client is no longer showing out of sync, but is pulling 0.
Also, I thought this didn't effect GPU mining? Even though it is pulling 0 it is sucking down my khash rate by a huge margin.

Seeking advice,
Client on PC#1 says 8 active connections to primecoin network
But on PC#2 it says 0 active connections to primecoin network, and doesn't seem able to update it's "out of sync" status.

I really hope that early miners choose not to dump this coin. The price looks promising right now and is rising after 12 hours+ on an exchange, which is a really exciting prospect for a new coin. I fear that those using cluster VPS's though will dump soon in order to pay for the high mining cost. Please please please don't do this yet - if you hold for now and dont kill the coin straight away they will be worth a lot more in a few months.
dude its at its peak of excitment now.....be lucky to be worth anything in a few days let alone a few months.

Not really, GPU miners are on the way(not by me, but I am sure they are).
No they are not.So much ignorance and delusion in this thread.
Both sieving and primality testing can be ported to the GPU.
It is a race to the bottom, but once the difficulty reaches a certain point it's change is going to plateau. And the reward will remain relatively constant.

Quite a few people now have >10,000PPS. so pretty much the arms race is lost for most users
