I guess it's just that many new miners have appeared. Before that 1800 block slack i got one each ~200 - 600.

Also got one with the modified client 350 blocks ago (after 1800 blocks of nothing before).
did Bitcoin require this much luck back in the day?Lol, it requires a damn sight more luck NOW - you guys are just used to pool mining. Solo is always a crap shoot.

How do I point my primecoin daemon (./primecoind) to the testnet?
Just start it with the '-testnet' switch.

Seems you can also add "testnet=1" to the .conf file. (Realized after I posted the question that if I looked it up for bitcoind then the command would almost certainly be the same...)

maxsieve is mentioned earlier in the thread. I left mine at the default.Testing right now between the patched and unpatched version, only problem is comparing by primespersec is not exactly reliable.

I haven't found one for 24hrs so I'm shutting down too. I'll wait for the gpu miner I'm sure someone is using to be released..

so what you saying? it is actualy not about computing primes, but being equal? so how about this, you run your client and doesnt matter how fast you can compute, you just participate in lottery.. and those with bigger gear to compute, actually has a less chance to get anything.

Actually that might be better. Decentralized power is the whole point of Bitcoin so why have CPU based mining if it's just going to centralize into a supercomputer after a few months?
One CPU one vote? Decentralized power? Freedom from ASICS?
You should have to build your own rig. It shouldn't be so easy that everyone mines in the cloud from day one.

Ok!!... I think I got it... I think I have to sacrifice a virgin in a pyre meanwhile I performance a tribal dance in order to get more blocks... ok... so... I'll tell you the results in a while (when I can find a f***ing virgin... of course) 
jeje, finding a f***ing virgin may be somewhat difficult...I think that a little easier than find a block...

Ummmmmmmmmm. I've been mining for 37.5 hours straight at 61-83 PPS on 3 threads of my i3 3225.... and NOTHING! I mean comparatively I'm doing ok on the speed. Could be my latency as I'm up here in Canada. I have no idea.

I copy same wallet.dat to all computers and get all mined XMP into one wallet.
it's likely that after 100 blocks mined, the keys for the addresses of each mined block will start to diverge, since bitcoin (and probably primecoin) doesn't have deterministic wallets. Recommend that you keep all copies of all wallets that contain primecoins just incase this ever happens.

Here's a diff/patch I made off a freash git clone with the changes mentioned and some makefile changes I used.
Thanks! Works great. I left my max sieve size at 1000000u but otherwise applied what you had. Now to do some testing...Does it even help for sure? what does maxsieve size do?
