Well, ~5 hours later and up to 4.87 XPM.  Rough estimate = 4.3 XPM per day from 10k PPS

Can someone else running similar number of PPS confirm these result? Not that I don't believe it, but the return looks a bit high.

I can tell you this is how it's calculated ...

Your share value / total share value * block reward (-3% fee) = Your payout per round.

Share value = pow(8, round(submitted share difficulty,0) -7).

Edit : This has been changed and the above is no longer valid (that didn't last long).

I think it's just pool luck. Sometimes you see more earning. Sometimes you see less.

I tried ypool with around 7000 or 8000 pps and wound up with around 2 xpm after 3 or 4 days and pulled the plug. What was I doing wrong?
That's about what I was getting with the pool miner last week.

As I mentioned above, I am using the miner cabin made found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257623.40

I did not make any changes to sieveprimes or anything else, I just ran the program with the pool info and my username/pass

PPS has nothing to do with earning, its number of shares you are making and its difficulty...
I hope soon some of the smart ppl make some easy calculation so ppl like we could know rate of the mining...

When mining on a pool, income per day does pretty well for me.

FYI I have added a chainsperday stat to 'getmininginfo' earlier in the repo, it's probably not accurate but is useful for relative performance comparisons. This is different from mikaelh's 5ch/h as it's a model of the real chains.

reborn, (young child  Cool Cool Cool) you might want to mine with ypool.com
Yes, maybe... 1 XPM per month is more from 0 XPM per month...
I'm running around 10k total PPS on 4 machines and am using ypool.  Not sure how long they have been pointed at ypool, I'd had the clients solo mining but slowly switched them to the pool since my luck seems bad lately.  I'm sitting at 3.97 XPM unconfirmed and 0 confirmed, which means none of my machines has been on it for more than 2.5 days.  Since the download time on the new miner is 23 hours old, I'd have to say no more than a day.  If you have 15% of what I do, then you'd be getting .6 per day minimum.
Well, ~5 hours later and up to 4.87 XPM.  Rough estimate = 4.3 XPM per day from 10k PPS

Your numbers don't even begin to make sense for me. I'm mining with 9500 pps over five machines. I changed back to solo mining yesterday, but for the three days before that I was mining with ypool. My total income earned? 2.646379 xpm...
1) I have no reason to lie, I looked at ypool 5.5 hours ago and posted on here, I looked 30 min ago and posted on here. (current uncomfirmed XPM reads 4.92, Balance 0)
2) I am not using the ypool miner, I'm using the miner cabin made and posted about here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257623.40
3) Machines: i7-740, Core2Quad Q6600, i5 2400, i5 2500k
4) PPS: 1940/1809/3730/3960 = 11439 (ok, I ended up underestimating my PPS)

I'm running at about 11-12k PPS and for the last few days i've gotten about 1 XPM (+/- 0.15) per day on ypool.

XPM mining worked for me like a bless. Unfortunatly I did NOT sell everything when the price was 0.018 BTC but I think it is safe to assume that the price will be soon even higher. Primecoin is the first real blockchain innovation since NMC and PPC. Litecoin has only good marketing...

song like this scam going to die... but I buy 2 XPM for my colection (after close to full month can't find block...)

It's a scam and dying just because you're failing to mine blocks? I assume Bitcoin is a scam too?
What can you say, he loaded up the client and stared at it for 30 days and guess what? No blocks found!

[...] so IMHO it's not worth the electricity to mine at this point.
...that's why I turned of my dual HD5850 Bitcoin miner in June 2011 - it was simply not worth investing the electricity for the lousy 0.8 BTC (per day) I could earn by pooled mining these days...
This time I'm going to make other mistakes Wink

I know $80 bucks a day, who needs that chump change Wink Hind site and all that...
