Ripple is trying hard to prove itself as a worthy coin but all of their promises and approach to be integrated to banks and their internal and external transfers to date have failed. They once called themselves an alternative to swift or even the western union but are now forced to buy fake accounts to write praise for themselves.

This could be the reason, why they wrestled the second spot to Ethereum, well at least contributed, they have no running bounty campaign right now, they should at least have one because there is a possibility that they will lose their third position, because EOS and LITECOIN is getting good volumes maybe if coinmarketcap is not faking their volume XRP is not in that position after all.

The Ethereum blockchain has been improved by hardfork called "Constantinople" in January 2019. Mining rewards were reduced, that's why the ETH price has soared from $80 to $150, and now Ethereum is rated the second at CoinMarketCap again.

Of course, Ripple is a good competitor to Ethereum, and bankers who like XRP can manipulate social networks to attract other investors. As I see, the BTC, ETH and XRP price charts are almost the same, so this likely manipulation did not affect the Ripple.

XRP was caught manipulating the social networks with fake accounts to shill XRP coin and post false positive feedbacks about it. On Twitter were many fake accounts detected and deleted for their abuse to maximize the price of XRP in an illegal and shady way. At least 8,000 Twitter fake accounts were detected.
Another bad attempt from XRP and a red flag to avoid investments in XRP.

XRP is doing a very good marketing job and advertising very successfully, using celebrities as well. I am surprised
they were using unethical methods as well, but where the  big money is involved ethics is suspended sometimes.

I think that this may adversely affect the reputation of this coin. Investors do not like when the coin has a bad reputation.

So the XRP army wasn´t real?  Grin Roll Eyes
So, if almost all of them were fake, who is really buying Ripple token? Also fake buyers with fake volumes?

I bet that also another "bank" cryptocurrencies will be hyped by fake people to attract atleast some investors.

Social media is used as shilling tools for scam projects and XRP takes its piece of cake from these promotions. XRP has better real use case than shitcoins but this alone doesn't make any sense to shill XRP hard on twitter.

There is a widely spread narrative in crypto community that social media, especially Twitter, is swarmed by XRP shilling bots. Essentially, whenever someone mentions XRP or Ripple in their tweet, at least 3-5 users emerge from the Twitter depths to either support (if the tweet is XRP positive) or attack the tweet (if it is critical of XRP).

I think this is huge and terrible news. If Ripple do something like that this could have big sanctions. I really can't believe that actually as a XRP holder.. The bitcoinexchangeguide is trustable website for me and they would never make unreal news. So in next day i think we will be able to see more..

I think that these two coins are difficult to compare. They have different uses. I expect Ripple to be able to overtake Ethereum again by capitalization.

Perhaps this is so, and I think that all this can really show such a not very good dynamic for the community. Still, a lot of people understand that XRP can hardly be called a real cryptocurrency project, but I think that this is not just a project.

Opinions of people are completely different, now this is quite possible and XRP, although a really very good project for the formation of a deposit, but I think that it does not so much manipulate the market as for example USDT, which really does not understand what it does there.
USDT manipulating by a lot of big whales not a spreading using bot or fake accounts. Also many crypto enthusiast opinion was negative so that when suddenly USDT was going to dump. But if it's number one stable coin and top traded volume coins it's not deeply affected.

Social media manipulating for different cryptocurrency and not only twitter, telegram also manipulating. Those are many bot account or some people doing that manually i don't know. I think it's unnecessary at least for Ripple (XRP) because it's a top raking coin.

Their years of shady, malicious activities and thievery will not go unnoticed in the future. Most already know (on BTT) XRP is the king of scamcoins and given enough time, scams will expose themselves as scams.

that is true but the sad fact is that majority of people these days only care about making profit and since XRP is one of those coins that gets gigantic pumps and there is a good profit in those pumps, people don't care about it being a scam coin although they already know it.

Maybe this is true, but XRP is a very old coin, and always holds the top position. Its value also remains quite stable. The truth is that news about XRP sometimes also affects the entire market.

Coins without long-term goals or means to naturally attract investors and users would normally rely on this sort shilling to succeed. Developers should probably learn to channel the resources used for this kind of deceptive practices into developing their platforms and making them attractive to users

Pure development and real long usage instead of sorting to any channel to gained attentions and investors interest, it's always depends on how traders and investors to cater such information but for responsible and wise persons knowing the grounds and not been easily be moved by any ideas unless you learned and understand it very well would make you safe inside this market.

I noticed it too.

They are on twitter, reddit and even here. Basically everywhere.

Whatever you say against Ripple, they'll counter you with nonsense spam. I am calling it:

Ripple is the next Bitconnect.

I'll explain what their problem is:

Ripple, a private token of Ripple Corp. is distributed among the company employees first. Since there is no mining, it is impossible to distribute the tokens in a fair way. You may say mining isn't fair too but not as bad as this one. What's happening with Ripple is, Ripple's CEO is basically handpicking the hodlers.

And addition to the supply in circulation which they already hodl the majority, Ripple Corp hodls another 58325654666 (%58) coins which isn't in circulation.

In time, this centralized coin got big. Because the only hodlers were the Ripple Corp Emplyees and any money coming from the outside will increased their networth. In time the Ripple's MC got even bigger.

But there was a big fucking problem. The attention on ripple wasn't enough. There weren't enough people wanting to buy their shit. If they can't unload their shitcoins on someone else, how are they going to buy their lambos? Some of those hodlers desperately want to get out but they can't.

Because there isn't any buyers.

That's why they are going crazy and spending their last effort to shill Ripple... basically to find morons to dump their coins on.

I say, Let it die.

**BTW, They probably bribed CoinMarketCap too. It is a very long con. If CMC didn't list Ripple in the first place, it wouldn't be that big today. How did I come to this conclusion?

Because CMC is fucking corrupt too. The trading volume you see on CMC is %95 fake.
https://www.bitcointradevolume.com/

If they can list fake exchanges, they can list fake coins too.

Fuck CoinMarketCap.

Well for every investor there is need for FuD and that’s just what happened
I’m sure the little panic would have caused a slight price change and good support level to join the trade

Well, ripple is big firm and won’t be moved by such claims
