It looks like this will be bad news for me today, I am a fan of XRP for quite a long time. But I read this news about manipulating with thousands of accounts on Twitter. Of course this makes me think again when I want to buy it back in large quantities. Thank you very much for this information, hopefully not negative news. Sad and confusing for me today ..
Illegal and shady activities will decrease the reliability of the coin but it is also normal for big coins to be a wall against such threats. Investings in XRP will not be affected with this news but some coin groups already claimed this FUD for their own profit.
I think a loss of trust will always result in lower prices because people are going to sell. Trust is an important factor if the devs are honest and making good decisions. Actions like this show how XRP is only trying to maximize their own bags profits (because they sell shitloads of XRP all the time) but they don't care for investors and long-term. Agree on loss of trust.
I do not know how an uncovered illegal and shady activity won't affect an investors decision. We cannot simply ignore such activities.

indications of brainwashing through social media and fortunately it is known, social media is full of diverse nuances but with the same purpose only for profit. by the way is not strange anymore that each product must have a purpose and we must utilize that goal by manipulating also that it can be reciprocated at market but remain vigilant

I don't usually believe everything I read in the media about a top coin. With the revelations I had in 2018, most of the news are primarily agents of FUD perpetrated by institutional whales to gain grounds on a project
There are several users I personally knew who shills XRP, it felt like they genuinely believe the future of the coin actually. Trading this coin back then was profitable because prices spikes a lot but now, it seem to have slow down already. You know the fees in trading the coin is very low while the volume is quite heavy. I may sound like shilling for XRP but I see facts about this.
Opinions of people are completely different, now this is quite possible and XRP, although a really very good project for the formation of a deposit, but I think that it does not so much manipulate the market as for example USDT, which really does not understand what it does there.

Their years of shady, malicious activities and thievery will not go unnoticed in the future. Most already know (on BTT) XRP is the king of scamcoins and given enough time, scams will expose themselves as scams.

When a coin is centralized then it will get manipulated by the people who were created it and will take profits from it.

I mean after all they do manipulate their own coin as well and try to make sure their coin looks valuable but in reality the coin itself is totally worthless.
XRP has ZERO value, all those Ripple and ashton kutcher and ellen and banks and transactions are floating around like Ripple is doing something great for XRP, all of those work for the company Ripple but the coin XRP is getting none of that so they have been manipulating the traders from day one, its not a shock that they have shills that support them on social media as well.
One day people will realize what type of shitty coin they are and will act just as USDT and will stop using it as much as they can, nobody will trade it and they will slowly die.
I'm not surprised for the coin that is centralized and always in the news for manipulation. No wonder it keeps trying to out place etheruem in the second position because of false records.
For sure it will decrease price if more investors saw that issue. Because it's not a proper way advertising and the sad things on it is moslty are fake accounts that convincing people. that is exactly why so many coin ranking websites exist specially those that on top of ranking give some feedback and so called analysis on the said coins. for example all these ICO sites are getting paid to advertise them and 90% of the things they say is false because they were paid.
it is a good thing though. since as we see more of these cases people stop trusting them blindly.

This is why I told before, xrp has a big group of people that can circulate and manipulate the market not only by shilling but also market maker and taker. Im pretty sure the reason why still on top cause every time its gonna go down someone from them pump it hard. So, others will follow. Like they keeping tabs of what is should be done for xrp in order to remain on top. Scary people to bust in actually.

I do not think this is a authentic news. Ripple, the third largest token by marketcap, cannot and there is no necessary for it do such stupid things to manipulate the market. Ripple is already established coin and is winning the hearts of the people across the globe. It is also mindful that such illegal and bad activities will bring down itself to the level it may not rise again.

ever since fully centralized coins started showing up we have been seeing a lot of cases exactly like this where they pay to be advertised with false information all over the internet so that they can pump their useless centralized token and make millions from such pumps, usually they have premined coins to ensure their profit too.
XRP is only one of many that are doing it and it may not even be the biggest. ETH and DASH are the biggest that have been doing this for the past 3 years at least.
