The previous 12 month high was $0.48 in June 2019 so with XRP now trading at $0.32 when it was just $0.19 on 1st January 2020 things are looking good. Hopefully the upwards trend will continue and break the $0.50 mark within a couple of weeks.
Do you think $.50 is a realistic price for XRP in this short period
Nov. of '18 was last time we seen that price iirc

Again got stopped out of Ripple just now. Basically pretty much almost bought the bottom back in August 2019 and scaled out some of it but my larger order at 0.00004000 never hit and basically got the rest out at a very small profit. Took probably half a dozen of these trades this year and none of the longs worked out. Basically should of just shorted at 10K stats like everybody did back in late 2018.

Looking at the XRPUSD its even worse, so bad I had to load up a Poloniex chart and it looks like Dec 4th 2017 was the last time it was this low. Right before the crazy pump which went from $0.20 to $3.60.

So its technically support but you need to be very patient with XRP and I will just move on to other alts.
It's real accumulation zone is one cent , crypto traders spotted that range. Overvalued project with little hope of usage.

Really? How do you feel right now, still waiting 1c buy zone?  Grin

Liking the ability here to completely remove an account from the XRP ledger and remove the reserve from that account.

Ripple Proposes Delatable Accounts for XRP Ledger

“One new feature proposed in the amendment process is Deletable Accounts and [it] is waiting to acquire and retain an 80% supermajority, before it activates. This feature allows XRPL accounts to be removed from the ledger and recover most of the reserve locked in the accounts for spam prevention,” said Schwartz of the feature.

Ripple’s XRP Price Can Reach $0.60 in the Near Future as XRP’s Popularity is Growing

Having traded at its lows since late 2018, XRP could enjoy a huge bull rally that could tackle the next hurdle with much ease. If the current market situation prevails, whereby the market capitalization grows by the day, XRP could outperform even Bitcoin in the near future.

I expected a better speculation in that article. Although I do see things like the price breaking the .28-.29 barrier earlier today as well as the 50/100 dma crossing on the move as fairly logical motivators for a bull run in XRP.

One thing about Ripple is that when you send Ripple from Bittrex to Ledger, you need to pay at PayPal just to create an account in your hardware wallet, that is not good, why they want to get money from people just for opening an account? a decentralized project won't do such a thing!
You are spreading FUD with your comment and you really should stop it
I have sent my xrp from exchanges like Bittrex to my Ledger and other wallets without using paypal
Paypal has nothing to do with this so just cut it out

When sending XRP to a new/empty ledger wallet, it is required that the new address has to be activated.

Because of this: "Some exchanges (such as Bittrex) cannot send transactions on an empty address (the address must be already "activated", which means it must have already a minimum of 20 XRP)."

https://www.reddit.com/r/Ripple/comments/7k2mc0/nano_ledger_s_issue_with_bittrex/

Just went to send a new tx from Bittrex now without issues, because the amount was bigger than 20 this time, sending less than 20 to a new created XRP on the ledger, the system will ask to "verifiy" with some funds first.

XRP has minimum wallet address requirement to prevent spam or malicious usage which could make ledger excessively big
Ripple stated that they want to constrain the growth of the ledger so that average PC can always fit current ledger in RAM and full history on disk

Amount can be changed through fee voting, more about that on this link:

WTF? I admit I never sent XRP from Bittrex, but I did from Bitstamp, and I never had to do that. So either its Bittrex, and not XRP thing,
or you're full of shit and spread FUD here...please prove me wrong and provide evidence

Not sure why I mentioned Paypal in my post. The point is that when a user sends XRP for the first time to a new/empty XRP wallet, It needs to have a minimum balance already of 20 XRP, I sent 19, I think that was the issue. From Coinbase works OK.

Those investments and partnership ties-ins do not reflect in the XRP price. That is the problem for XRP, the price has been the achilles heel which has stopped it cementing its position as #2 by market capital to Bitcoin.

When the Moneygram deal was announced last year there was so much buzz and anticipation but in the end nothing happened, it was not a catalyst to thrust XRP to another level. What it did do was to highlight the disparity between Ripple and XRP because though Ripple has been used widely by various fintech organisations the trading and usage of XRP has been much muted.

More partnerships is a good thing

RIPPLE CEO BOASTS OF HUGE XRP GAINS IN 2020

Responding to critics, Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, has drawn attention to XRP’s impressive gains during the first few weeks of this year. Although the platform is clearly having a good run, with a year-to-date increase of almost 50%, its growth may be the product of a larger market recovery.

https://bitcoinist.com/ripple-ceo-boasts-of-huge-xrp-gains-in-2020/

Its a bit sad and pathetic when CEO tries to play numbers on arbitary dates and completely ignoring past. Most alts are x5 past from their lows, some even about to do newer highs. Fact is that XRP broke support and whole 2019 were creating newer lows bring it back to second half of 2017 lows, so, saying 90% of entries of 2019 are in red.

So, this 50% from start date is a cricus towards retail investors. He suould have better keep silence.

Thanx Branko.... Shame to see "Hodor" go. I always trusted him as a source of "real" news and information regarding XRP and Ripple... And often where I'd read or hear of it first. I'll miss that, as alot of what I see on this feed is argumentative, redundant and useless. That said there are still a few here that I appreciate. Peace

As of now it is trading above $0.28 so things are looking good as it heads back towards $0.30 and that is great traction considering it was $0.19 on 1st January 2020

I am  a big believer in RIPPLE and XRP and follow its progress in the news very carefully and will continue to

What happened in 2017 with Ripple going to $3 is very similar to what is happening with Tesla right now. There were tons of people who assumed it would go to $0 and they shorted it. Then it eventually broke $1, then $2, then $3. So at first it had tons of resistance but after it broke $0.50 or so there was mostly air and had little to no resistance.

So there was huge demand and very little supply. Nobody wanted to sell it because they assumed it would hit $5 or $10. And the shorts were the ones who had huge losses when they assumed $1 was the peak. So due to thin liquidity books past the >$1.50 area or so and with CNBC pumping XRP on Poloniex, its what made it hit $3.20 however it obviously wasn't sustainable.

Resistance on BTC/XRP pair on Poloniex is slowly thinning, pretty similar as in 2017

Wait and see I guess, we're all 2 years smarter this time  Grin
