When it comes to crypto, XRP is the premier choice for future-proofing my investment, especially given the recent announcements by Ripple.

In my latest blog entry, I discuss what I believe are the top five reasons to consider making XRP part of your portfolio.

Price is driven by news at the moment. Santander and American Express have become the latest high-profile clients to use Ripple for cross-border payments. In an announcement today, the institutions announced a partnership with the Blockchain payment network to initially send instant payments between US and UK business users of Amex’s FXIP platform. UK Santander bank accounts will be able to receive the Ripple-based payments.

I have to wonder if this will kick up again in a few hours when Korea and the like wake up.

Also, with XRP being burned with every transaction (granted it is a tiny amount, but still)  and the overall marketcap of crypto increasing -  I could see a dollar or two being a real possibility in the future -  up to say 10-20 dollars in a few years if more banks jump on.

Unconfirmed sources hinting towards possible RippleNet integration into VISA announced blkchainproject.

Confirmed sources know for sure that the clearing house and others implemented domestic instant payments trough volantetechnologies into 25 banks in the US.
Same sources confirmed that volantetechnologies is a ripple partner!

Got any links? Even if speculative in nature?

Sure.
The links for the second part with the clearing house and those 25 banks live now

And the link for the official partnership with ripple from two years ago
http://www.bankingtech.com/506352/volante-launches-a-plug-and-play-ripple-integration-solution/

Good stuff. I'm glad the momentum is building and getting to critical mass.

So tired of Ripple, everytime big price jump and right after big correction. wtf is this. Banks controlling the coin already?

Guys, get it right. Ripple was NEVER a true public blockchain. It's always been a public-private one, aimed at financial institutions, allowing them to leverage blockchain technology. Saying that Ripple doing business with banks is bad, is like saying Apple shouldn't sell mobile phones. It's the core of their business model. Holding Ripple is like holding shares in the company. If you hold XRP, you should be glad to see this development.
Nobody said anything about dealing with banks is bad, were just concerned that such great news gave us nothing but a tiny pump and dump.

Frankly, I expected more volume, going from BCH to XRP probably, but it seems BCH/BTC war didn't settle yet, BCH still
has more than double XRP volume for the last 24h...we'll see what happens tomorrow I guess

I stand corrected. But...With the scale of Amex, and England being the banking gateway to Europe and Asia this should generate long term sustainability rather than a short term pump and dump. Also, with the might of Amex behind Ripple, other doors will open. Where Amex goes, others will follow. Let's hope that holds true Smiley

It looks like some Big banks in Asia could declare they will start using Ripple. Some people are saying that on Telegram. Is there any news related to that? Is that the reason why palm Beach recommended? I think something like that could put Ripple in the top 3. I personally do not like Ripple so much because they hold so many coins. But I think I could start invest, BTC will not pass 8k. At leats, I will profit from the pump.

So it wasn't Asia. Was American Express and Santander. This is amazing. It is something that will change everything and soon other financial companies will have to move to catch up.

Yep, you're correct. The Amex deal has been officially announced. This is great news for XRP holders. Glad I didn't sell during the last alt sell-off.

We can't still make sure if it's an official verification. Can ripple sources confirm this?

If yes, we should be ready for next big ripple pump because American express system is just huge. And it's more than enough for another ripple price pump there in the market.

It seems to be pretty legit. The story is out everywhere from Crypto press to mainstream media, including Ripple and Reuters. Here are a few more links.
