What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger

I just love the enthusiasm of the XRP army. I don't hold any XRP but I will trade it when the time comes. I strongly believe that Ripple will be one of the leading altcoins with the most volume in the coming of the altcoin season.

That's an interesting perspective, you believe it'll have a leading position but you want to wait for a better time to trade it?!
Don't you think it's close to a bottom, if it has not already hit bottom? Do you have a specific price in mind or are you judging if the time to buy is right or not based on every day data?

Ripple will bottom out when Bitcoin stops teasing traders with dumping every significant price advances. All depends on BTC. When the first true sign of a trend reversal which is increased volume and resistance-breaking rallies, I will start buying XRP.

So when BTC starts doing higher highs and lower lows, when altcoins will be probably still lagging, that's when you see an opportunity. Because of how this stupid market works, I'll agree with you! That's how things are most likely to unravel.
However I don't believe this is how things should have been. People who have grown tired of futures manipulation in BTC should go to the second best thing which is XRP until we brake out of some people's control. I believe there's enough real value to support BTC XRP and ETH, but right now the real value is being overshadowed by short trades which are supported by air.

Three XRP subreddits you should follow

Ripple (XRP) is making a name for itself as one of the most relevant cryptocurrencies in the market today.
With a current market cap of almost $12 billion, it is the third-largest cryptocurrency by market value.

XRP price is like claiming a piece of string is long, it is some imaginary number, Ripple has manipulated xrp price since day one.
Tax payments for sold xrp does not match supply changes, only a matter of time for legal implications.

Whilst good news isn't often reflected in XRP price, it's not that XRP never rises... it does rise, and often very suddenly and dramatically compared with other big coins. The behaviour in this sense is more similar to low cap coins, which as we know are easily manipulated. So does this provide some evidence to back up the theory of deliberate manipulation of the XRP price?
I thought XRP will go skyrocket for the past few days, so I bought it at the price of 0.00003125 sats but it goes low. I don't know what will be the news that XRP triggers but as what you say, the price is manipulated and we cannot break the resistance once there are controls with the price. Wish it will be broken when December comes in.

It's because the bitcoin is pulling down altcoins. There's nothing wrong about XRP because the price just holding the position in USD value. Only the value in BTC is really affected. I'm expecting major price recovery once bitcoin become successful on defending 7.9k support.

I understand the distinction between Ripple and XRP, and it is certainly true that XRP has its own fair share of good news, along with Ripple... but that rarely if ever seems to translate into the sort of price movement we would see for other coins.
Not sure why this is, or how much the token-dumping by Ripple plays a part... but regardless, XRP still has a really solid use case and looks good for the long-term.

My guess: really really rich people see potential, and manipulate price so they could buy large amounts cheap

It is impossible to determine if the price is low or high, because double number or more coins can be created at any time and its value will be halved or can drop few times. Therefore, it is a great tool for speculators, but for long-term investors it can be a trap.

Yes you are right, there are many XRP holders who are sure their investment will come good. It is just a matter of time.
You are right, but it still depends on the price when they start holding XRP. For example, for those who have kept it from the price of $ 1 and are still waiting for the price of XRP to return to $ 3, in my opinion, it is not an investment, it is merely speculation.

I understand the distinction between Ripple and XRP, and it is certainly true that XRP has its own fair share of good news, along with Ripple... but that rarely if ever seems to translate into the sort of price movement we would see for other coins.

I agree with you but the problem is that the price though is not reflecting that scenario.

By now it really should have broken the $1 barrier but that along with its all time high of approximately $3.60 during the bull run of end 2017/early 2018 seems a long way away
I guess the XRP price could break the highest price of all time as long as the price of Bitcoin rises to $ 50,000 in the future. I don't want to guess the time because it's never accurate. Tongue

This could certainly be the case given that banks are the principal target users, so not necessarily just rich people buying as individuals, but also people buying as representatives of banks.

xrp does have long-term potential, and sometimes it can also be profitable in short-term investments. the most important thing is that you understand the investment technique, because xrp is one of the coins that has a great opportunity in the market

Another Major Remittance Deal For Ripple: a Variable in Short Term XRP Price Trend?

SBI Ripple Asia has just confirmed that it will be working with SBI Remit and Vietnam’s TPBank to facilitate remittance payments between Japan and Vietnam. The partnership will enable near-instant, low cost payments using the collaboration between Ripple Labs and SBI Holdings, RippleNet.

Let me tell you a little secret, in the develop world cryptocurrency exist. Its magic, you can transact person to person (like handing over cash to someone) but the other peer can be anywhere in the world, all done  with a app, no third party needed, its only a matter of time before it reaches your part of the woods too.
