A few words for those concerned about the recent XRP price dumps.

I've been watching the Poloniex order books quite closely over the last week, and the 'dump' on the 19th of May and today is from certain individuals placing in excess of 500 BTC worth of Ripple on the exchange - momentarily - before cancelling the trade. This happens multiple times in quick succession to scare people into panic selling - which results in a reduced price in the 1000's of satoshis. They then buy while people are panic selling to increase their own holdings at a discounted rate which is essentially subsidised by those panic sellers. They are basically pilfering money from people.

This isn't just a single individual either. It appears to be a coordinated effort.

While these people may be getting rich through the opportunity to buy undervalued XRP, they should also realise that this type of trading on regulated stock exchanges is actually highly illegal.

The positive that comes out of this though, is that it will force regulators to place restrictions on these types of activities in the future and force exchanges to comply with these regulations. So in effect, their unethical actions are pushing us towards the regulation the Cryptocurrency industry desperately needs. This regulation assists with attracting institutional investors (at first) and an excessive amount of money with them.

Once these investors hold their slices of the pie under stricter regulatory rules, you'll see a much more stable and highly valued market.

However, everyone should really be taking advantage of these reductions and buy and hold as much XRP (and other Cryptocurrencies) as you can - I know I am.

XRP is already near bottom...so prob wont see much of an effect..am hodlin and  setting up buys incase some noobies panic sell xrp

What the fuck is ripple get dumped so hard in this day. May I think if it will be get another pump as soon as possible?

i did some numbers ..in my head lol...
and we are underpriced...
if 1 btc is $2k
1 XRP should be min 60cents up to $1.10 ...right now

heres a thought...next run uptakes us to around 60cents....we retrace to 45cents...no lower than 40cents....then charge to $1.10...then retrace to around 60cents...then fly towards $1.50/$2 

some things to remember....nothings changed...BOE tell us all on aug 2017 if they will join Ripple ( im sure they will )

Thats fine, not disputing smart investors such as yourself but the fact is not everyone is, case in point, Panic sellers. You cant discount the group of people that are not in it for the long haul, havent researched and just jumped on a bandwagon. It has been said many times before, especially after Polo crashes that it takes a while to regain confidence. I watched that happen after the first polo crash (as im sure you did). Now if what im saying is not smart then that wouldnt happen, everyone would buy straight back in and the price would recover. As a coin grows, so does the amount of people that invest, this also means the higher amount of people that could possibly not be the 'smart investor'. Losing 4 bill of market cap isnt exactly a small amount of sells, what was it after the first polo crash? a couple of hundred thousand market cap loss if that...

Oh, trust me, your negativity can be considered as big positive in contrast to others... Smart investor or trader will not cash out with lost on XRP, at current stage with all media and news and upcoming things.  Everyone knows that 1$ is this year, everyone speculates on this and more speculate on more than > $2. Remember for a big fish, there is a bigger fish.

And yes, everyone understands that tomorrow can any shit happen! But now we bullish!

People bought and put price to 0.34c not to sell at 0.40c, they sick big money, long investment and strategic exit, and they know magic of margin trade!

No disputing XRP's future but surely people can see that if you get burned by a coin or any investment you can be hesitant to go back to it. Can also make people cash out when they get back above their loss and then move on. Thats all i said, didnt say everyone was going to jump ship and XRP was going to burn to the ground FFS.

All good, nothing but positive from here on in. Discussing or not, anything in the - or a worry for my investment gets torn a new one. Better to pvt msg those that are willing to have a discussion about it then an open forum i say

Excuse me? i cant believe the hostility here at times. I have 98% of my portfolio in XRP, its the coin i chose. Does this mean i am not allowed to think of concerns in the market and think of negative possibilities? wow. Ok hows this, noone has been burnt and the 4 billion are all going to buy back in next rise and never go again, everyone is going to hold until $1, $10, $100.
