Any comments on this news: http://www.coindesk.com/japanese-banks-trial-virtual-currency-funds-transfers/

Does not look good for XRP, if they would think of new virtual currency.
same story as the link above that i just posted.
current crypto will be tested, new crypto could be tested...but both will be tested on (patented)RCL

wooooaaaaaa .... crypto progression towards the worldwide basket of currencies.
* The consortium is also considering testing virtual-currency-based international fund transfers. The hope is that the use of blockchain technology may be able to lower costs compared with SWIFT, the global payments network.

As long as the development team is taking everything then the coin will have great future, there are many rumors going in coming many banks starts implementing XRP blockchain technology, so that it will boost the value of XRP once it is done.

Ripple to Exceed Bitcoin's MarketCap? I believe You're Joking though.

21B will be nothing, when the day has come and XRP is the link for most of the global fiat-transactions....
Wink

Ripple is unique with it's fantastic development team.  It's unique feature comes from it's function as currency as opposed to the paradigm of Bitcoin as money i.e a store of value.  I'm invested in Ripple much in the same way as I would buy shares in a bank.  Still a believer in Bitcoin though as the antithesis of modern banking.  It's always best to hedge your bets and not get too wrapped up in ideology.
You do seem smart for a newbie lol ,
xrp is unique, hedging and buy shares in a bank, i agree...but xrp has become more than an ideology...
while some banks are testing xrp..other banks are currently using it internally with staff, soon they will use it with other banks, then they will show it to the public (around 2018)
BTC,ETH,XRP will be added to world fiat basket of currencies, after 40yrs+ the finance system is being upgraded via blockchain tech ( patented rcl leads the way  ) to accomodate, faster, secure and cheaper transfers globally.
IMO this is the only way crypto can go beyond the $billions and become worth multi $trillions in value.

ps--on another note lol, i think btc may dump a bit soon, best get XRP

Once the new system is in place, our dollar won’t be needed in these countries and a new reserve currency will come into being. All those dollars in foreign accounts will come home, which will annihilate our monetary system.

Also, China just announced that it will stop purchasing our debt (holding dollars in reserve). This will force The Federal Reserve to print even more dollars than the $85 billion it’s currently printing.

Looks like a conspiracy website. Do you really believe that they will/could kill the US dollar?

i dont know about killing the dollar, or how legit the source is...i do know a new monetary system/s is being set-up.
i got some crazy views lol, i cant share them
one view i can share is....we are heading into a cashless society.

always consider the source... conspiracy theorists have said this shit for YEARS. not discounting the legitimacy of china not wanting to purchase US debt, but their economy is also faltering and will likely see a recession on the same scale (or much bigger) than the US in 2008. china has been purchasing gold and selling off treasuries (US debt), for the last few years and it totally makes sense - they're the single largest holder of US debt outside the federal reserve. the US is a massive liability and will never be able to repay the $19+ trillion it owes. china and the rest of the world knows this.

yea m8, true on everything you said there.  im sure its way higher than 19trill, prob nearer $30trill+ lol...
this game runs far more deeper and complex than what we are aware of...the players that put usa in debt are not in debt...

http://www.truthandaction.org/23-countries-now-abandoning-us-dollar-2/

ok guys , im not sure if this is true...but research it...i know i will be..lol

A new world monetary system is being set up right now which will completely kill the US dollar, which is the world’s reserve currency.

23 countries (60% of the world’s GDP) are setting up swap lines which bypass the dollar and SWIFT, which is the dollar-based worldwide financial transaction system.

These countries include Russia, China, India, and even Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.

Once the new system is in place, our dollar won’t be needed in these countries and a new reserve currency will come into being. All those dollars in foreign accounts will come home, which will annihilate our monetary system.

we are heading into a cashless society.

I can agree on that. There is already a limit for cash payment and a cash ban is on it's way in Europe.
