I think it is generally unwise to compare ether and ripple. These are completely different coins that perform completely different functions. I think that ripple, like ether, is one of the most promising altcoins today.

So, Bitcoin has huge advantage over both of them, something like Netscape over Internet Explorer and other minor browsers back then?

Yes, but that's not a guarantee.

Pets.com had a good use case, competent people and big clients too. Failed miserably when the .com bubble popped.

It's just beginning of 2019, there is no bull run in the start even big whales dumping market.
But we can expect market will recover in Q2 and bull run will be trigger by biggest news in Q4.
Nobody can't predict about crypto but we should wait little more for more profits. HODL!

You're right about ripple been recognized by Central Banks and governments but I believed you dont know or do any research to know the reason behind it all, do you? This is why all good cryptonier will advice people to seek crypto knowledge and reason why XRP was recognised was because it was centralized (the government can intervene), owned by US ex military and offered tech services with fast almost free transaction service. But all this does not make it the best coin to invest in cause it can manipulated anytime.

so far, I see XRP is a truly stable coin, because of that XRP successfully passed ETH on a coinmarketcap site. well, but besides that, I feel that when bitcoin prices rise, XRP will also easily rise. this can be a good thing for those who use XRP according to their functions.

Okay, which and why?

Which coin is being deflated while time passes instead of inflating?
Which coin has a stronger and more experienced dev team support than XRP?
Which coin is faster than XRP?
Which coin is cheaper than XRP?
Which coin has significantly more liquidity than XRP?
Which coin has more collaborations around the world?

Sure, if you ABSOLUTELY want a decentralised network which is driven by community developers you have some good choices.
But then you probably have to deal with the price manipulation from the whales, depending on the coin.

So... which is the "any other good cryptoccurency"?

Yeah you are right we are not seeing any up spikes even market is still red sign, it's just a beginning of 2019.
We are still waiting for bull run but there is no latest news that trigger the bull run, there is only predictions about prices but predictions gone wrong.
Weak hands will sell at this point but strong hands will buy more at this point as you said.

Those numbers looks good to start with and since one bank already joined xRapid some other will follow if there is going to be a good outcome.

One thing i was wondering is why ripple never pushed for extending their token support, it could be much better than it is now.
