Ripple could be reach the ATH price but $20 XRP can't reach at this price.
If we follow predictions then predictions said that BTC will be at $15k end of 2018 but price of BTC still at below $4000.
There is tough competition between Ripple and Ethereum, let's see what will happen in the beginning of the 2019.

Ripple speculation in 2019 ? anyone dares to speculate ? 
Against most people's beliefs, there is no bullrun this year and BTC moves around 4000$-6000$ with maybe a short spike to 7000$.
XRP however leaves Ethereum behind and is in close proximity to Bitcoin, that'd make it about 1.70$ - 2.20$.

By 12th hour he might be dumping his stash.
While there are lots of good news to see from the updates of some notable people, XRP isn't going to rise abruptly just because of it. There are always sell orders for XRP which can bring the price down. If there ain't a bullrun yet, I suggest not to invest to XRP, do it when the obvious is happening in real time.

Failure ETH from PoW makes unnecessary XRP, XLM, EOS and similar. In the near future, the growth of ETH is likely to increase due to sales of these, and according to technical analysis, they are on the peaks to the ether now asking for a correction. But DASH and BCH will follow for ether in growth because they are oversold, at the bottom to ETH now and are unlikely to go below
It seems to me that Ripple will start growing soon, some time remains when we see this long-awaited growth. He did not fall much in such a difficult market and showed us how stable and strong he is!

you need more than that!People confuse the notion of centralisation. They think that if 80% of Bitcoin is controlled by 10 people (theoretically speaking), it's decentralised because we DON'T KNOW those 10 people.
However if 80% of XRP is controlled by its developers, then that's centralisation.
Use your freaking brains people, it's the Bitcoin's whales you should be afraid of, not Ripple.
There's a reason why CEO's of companies with huge market caps don't sell their stocks. Ripple won't sell their much cheaper coins for the same reason!

I also kinda freaked out, thinking that Ethereum might have passed XRP again... but this hasn't happened yet. Well... I've invested in both so I don't care that much, but I believe the top 3 should be BTC and XRP at very close levels and 3rd ETH like 20% lower.
