The wallet still takes sometime to open like the old one must be my computer.

Edit: wallet wont even load its stuck on loading wallet index.

you need to delete your previous blockchain data. delete blk*.dat in the folder. do not delete your wallet.dat

you'll be good to go after that.

just got word that c-cex, blockexperts (explorer) and suprnova are updating right now.

Thats the error i am getting "error loading blk index" So should i delete it from the old wallet
or the new one?

I've been trying to plan Solar power for my office. (i use the mining rigs for heat in winter)

i have to shut one rig down, eventually cuz its too hot.   which means no scrypt Sad
but im hoping to put up the panels asap...

I just have a hard time converting the Solar DC watt to  AC watt...that i need lol.

ie: 650 watt full time  rig...  and a 1200watt  rig...    hm 1500watt would be smarter. (AC in summer/ scrypt in winter) lol.

is there a formulae for that? PM me that? Smiley

g

The ASIC itself actually runs on DC power. It would probably be more efficient to not convert to AC then back to DC, but much more complicated I guess, especially if you plan to use the solar power for other stuff too.

Very good sign on new wallet fast synching since folks were reporting the old one losing synch and taking a while to resynch.
Of course crypto being crypto and everyone's computer being different....sometimes the wallets are not at fault.
Over all I had no problems with old wallet, just transactions being slow because of "Hashinator" locking up the block chain . Tongue

@Dev - As the new wallet is adopted by the users, exchanges and pools....before the 330,000 block,
the "Hashinator ", will still be able to hammer the network?

I know that after the fork at 330,000 he's pretty much out of business.
But until that block the old and new wallets will coexist, no?

Same question please

hi all ...

forcing qt5 in fedora 23 x64 has some interesting issues ...

Code:
cc1plus: warning: command line option ‘-std=c99’ is valid for C/ObjC but not for C++
In file included from /usr/include/qt5/QtGui/qwindowdefs.h:37:0,
                 from /usr/include/qt5/QtWidgets/qwidget.h:37,
                 from /usr/include/qt5/QtWidgets/qmainwindow.h:37,
                 from /usr/include/qt5/QtWidgets/QMainWindow:1,
                 from qt/bitcoingui.h:4,
                 from qt/bitcoin.cpp:4:
/usr/include/qt5/QtCore/qglobal.h:1067:4: error: #error "You must build your code with position independent code if Qt was built with -reduce-relocations. " "Compile your code with -fPIC (-fPIE is not enough)."
 #  error "You must build your code with position independent code if Qt was built with -reduce-relocations. "\
    ^
Makefile:2600: recipe for target 'qt/qt_libbitcoinqt_a-bitcoin.o' failed
make[1]: *** [qt/qt_libbitcoinqt_a-bitcoin.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/mnt/horustor/compile/coins/vergecurrency/VERGE/src'
Makefile:523: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

so as with a few older wallet compiles - the error says that qt5 needs to be compiled with -fPIC instead of -fPIE ...

ill change that in the makefile now and see how that turns out ... then sleep ...

will let you know how it pans out - if you are interested ...

Right... well  thats why i mention the 650 watt usage.  thats one miner.  Im gonna start small, and just go for enough power for one unit...

then work on the next one..and so on.

I think i figured it out enough to get 1 300ah batter,   3-200watt panels, and ofc a controller.

course, i wont know til i play with it, if thats really enough.      oh and inverter ofc

that should be 3days at the 1500w level.

will ..eventually see how it goes.

g

keep me informed of your progress ...

id be very interested in how it all goes ...
