I didn't think minerd was available at the time of the yakcoin launch?

this is one I found that was posted in an antivirus friendly yakcoin thread.

If it is causing it then, i doubt it was the yakcoin creator, just some scumbag that decided to create the miner and release it 'for the good of all'

agreed I think we can report the developer is not responsible for this but that some people may have been phished to install a new mining client and this was the result... if this is real and not FUD

What we have here is compromised forum accounts.

There has been quite a few co-ordinated campaigns against some of the newer coins recently. The thing to look at is probably the other coins that have not been subjected to this sort of treatment. It is hard for me to put it all together. I'm spending a lot of my time fire fighting FUD.

that's what happens when coin developers don't release a miner to go with the coin, people take advantage and release compiled miners out of the "kindness of their heart", and you are get scammed.

I downloaded yacoind from https://mega.co.nz/#   !UowEmZYS!AAK7DVwYoTqy96oTRzUaLCS0UMsAfosJiRQmBn1jzcA
My encrypted bitcoin wallet hasn't changed. Everything is still here Tongue

I also downloaded and ran the windows x64 cpuminer yesterday.

Yacoin.exe did not access my bitcoin wallet.dat. Checked with process monitor. Cannot replicate the issue.

I found another post where an antivirus friendly minerd was hosted on mega.  Can anyone confirm that this was where you downloaded rather than the other link

https://mega.co.nz/#    !shoxkb5b!DjiCAQBQ627TaW0oet1C7mvqM7Q2-2u-g4kDRHbniU4

Can confirm that this Minerd is indeed infected:

LOL this proves honestly nothing :') It proves you get some error message running a random minerd.exe named file.

Fuck off will ya.

It may be the windows crypt-jane minerd which was downloaded from here https://mega.co.nz/#!IJRziTBD!ZCAKGC7fqYkyXsEDi9GB1RYiqIUqj2S9bEm6UI2y1no

Can anyone check it? I don't have any wallets on my PC so I am good. Just wondering whether to remove it or not - it has been working great.

Can someone reproduce this with the client from https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yac-antivirus-friendly-minerd-for-windows-201050 in a sandboxed environment??

Yeah, it's infected. See my previous post.

Edit: Or at least it doesn't want to run with a monitor program running, which is suspect as hell, of course.

Perhaps someone can post the names of the anti YAC propaganda people. All the posts are from the same 5 or 6 Users.

I posted some in my 2nd post in this thread.
