Locking this before it becomes a shitposting magnet. Huge thanks to all who reported the avalanche of spam, I bet you made a difference and affected theymos' swift action.

LOL, I thought I broke the site when I started seeing the number of Yobit signatures going down to zero... hallelujah

Haha. Theymos is more effective than Thanos! Thanos erased half the universe, Theymos wiped whole.

Can I have your latest list of userIDs? I'd like to archive them all Smiley

Sure, give me a few minutes.

Edit: PM sent. Includes users that had "1450 COINS" in their signature at any time, even if they removed it later. May not include users who never posted with the signature.

LoL, I meant what will you do with archived data? Any future use or what?
Maybe, I don't know yet. It might come in handy later.

Just a curiosity question but what will you do with the list?
You've literally quoted the answer to your question:

129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

Well, that ended as quickly as it escalated. IF they'd gone about it in a sensible manner from the start I'm sure it could've been a decent enough campaign. Let that be a lesson to all.

Terminated.
You call people a shitposter because their mother tongue isn't in English, no one doesn't have to speak perfect English.
I bet if I joined a campaign that only paid for posts in the Russian section, I'd get mocked and ridiculed for it--and I'd deserve it.  People who can't make themselves understood and who have nothing to say shouldn't be posting in the English section.
Of course you would, you'd be a prime shitposter unless you were doing it primarily to improve your language skills which 0% of these users are doing. Whether English is your native language or not is completely irrelevant to whether you are a shitposter or not.

Many people who don't have enough incomes can earn BTC thanks to bounty campaigns.
Many people don't give a shit about this fact.  If the forum suffers because of it, the parasite is basically killing the host.

1 in 4 is utterly ridiculous.
That's a big WOW for me, too.  On the other hand, given Yobit's standards I'm not shocked that it happened and happened so quickly.  It is a bit jarring to see so much spam after a respite period the merit system provided.

I have the Bitcoin/Altcoin Discussion sections on ignore, and that helps.  The Yobit spam brigade has infiltrated Economics, though.  That's a pain in the ass, especially when I'm looking for posts to merit.

Not all of those participants posts 20 a day.
I realise that, which is why I said ban the spammers, not ban them all.

I gotta admit the campaign pays well.
Agreed, which is why it rapidly attracted so many spammers. As far as I've seen though, and please CMIIW, there have been no confirmed payments for this campaign yet? As I mentioned, by not having a list of participants they have given themselves an easy "get out clause" - in a week or two they can simply state that these users were never accepted in the first place, and then they don't have to pay.

Eventually the funds of yobit will run out and just like before participants may not get paid for weeks which the reason they'd quit this campaign. It happened before.

Sounds like they're swimming in money so funds will never be a problem. It's the willingness to part with them for mindless shite that might count.

And as users are now reporting being paid for previous campaigns then that might incentivise them to stick around for future assaults too. It's not as if 80 or more per cent will ever get into another campaign.

That 20% figure is a shocker.

Yobit spam is ... ~26% of non-bounty posts.
Dear lord. What is it going to take for some executive action here? Every other post being YoBit spam? 1 in 4 is utterly ridiculous. Everyone I'm sure has noticed the extra spam, and it's becoming increasingly tedious and difficult, near impossible in some sections, to wade through it all to try and hold a logical conversation. Even the threads complaining about the YoBit spam are being spammed by completely oblivious YoBit spammers. Accounts which have been inactive for months suddenly posting 20+/day.

Since they don't have a manager or a list of accepted users, they can quite easily turn around in 2 weeks' time and say "You were never accepted to the campaign, and so you will not be paid" after each account has already made ~300 posts. I'd like to take some small consolation in the fact that many of these spammers will never be paid, but it is everyone else trying to use the forum normal who is paying the price.

Ban the spammers and ban the campaign.

Not all of those participants posts 20 a day. I gotta admit the campaign pays well. Other campaigns will soon raise their offers because of this. Think of this as a new competitor of the Mixers who pays good for their participants. Yobit still is in bitcoin business for the longest possible not sure if they find this toxic but looks like is a popular to them.

I'm sorry but I think the script is not working properly. Many members have already left the campaign since yesterday or saturday and there are still in this list.
For example Fortify left the campaign since one or even 2 days now from what I've seen and its trust score is 136.
But we can see him as a participant with a trust score of only 30 in the list...  Undecided

As stated in the OP, it takes up to 24 hours for new participants to show up. Same when someone leaves the campaign. I don't get a notification when someone changed their signature so I have to keep re-checking 400+ user profiles to detect if someone left the campaign, and check ~5000 user profiles each day (every user who makes a post) to detect if someone joined the campaign.

Thanks for pointing out the trust score issue. I was probably logged in with the wrong account. Will fix in the next update.

Trust score can vary person to person for including/excluding people on/from your trust list.
So only for people who've tampered their trust list. Mine is normal.

17600 new posts have been made in the last 24h (total, across the whole forum).
13660 new posts have been made in the last 24h outside of Bounties (Altcoins).

Yobit spam is ~20% of all posts, or ~26% of non-bounty posts.

Another way to look at this: they're creating nearly as much shit as bounty reports but it's spread across the whole forum and pretends to be non-shit. I think this calls for a new Yobit board and banning of Yobit signatures elsewhere Smiley

I suspect Yobit will cut a lot of these participants, I don't really see them spending this much on bitcointalk advertising.

I'm guessing we'll see "scam accusation" threads when shitposters realize they're not gonna get paid.
