Congratulations 727miner, welcome to the club Smiley

You should print the photo from your phone showing the bitcoin reward out, frame it and put it near you miners to be a constant reminder that its possible Smiley

BTW, have you checked your s2 and s5 to see if it was your own miners that found them?

So glad you never gave up.

Congrats 727miner!  Since you rented the gear, I checked my own miners (since they've been rented pretty much non-stop for the past week) and thankfully it wasn't one of mine that found the block.  That would have been downright depressing, especially since I've got them pointed here when they're not being rented Smiley

Thanks, I think I've rented some of your rigs on there  Cool

So, I'm driving into work today and my phone goes off and I see this:

I literally freak out in traffic  Shocked. I've been mining off and on here since CK started the pool. Came real close to hitting a block a few weeks back and about 3 days ago I decided that I would spend a few coins and rent some hash (around 100 - 150T everyday). I knew it was a long shot and tbh I was about to give up renting today. I've only mined one other block (269489) with a Block Erupter USB stick back on Slush's pool in Nov 2013 and that's what started my obsession with Bitcoin mining. It's true that life does throw you a bone once in a while  Cheesy Thanks to CK for this pool, when this block matures, I'll send a tip your way.

Congrats!  Haha I'm sure that made your traffic jam more bearable.  Now I have 2 questions: where did you rent?  And are you using IFTTT to get notifications on BTC deposits?

Yeah, nothing could bother me during that commute  Grin. I've been renting from MRR, renting the smaller guys' rigs, trying to help some of the little guys out versus the big rigs on there. I'd really love to know which of the rentals found it, it'd be neat if it was an S1 or something small. That particular SMS notification came from Blockchain.info, I actually forgot that I had imported that wallet into there!

Congrats bud! since you're new financial windfall, you can send me those sp20s you have for sale for free right?  Grin

Haha thanks! I'm now thinking about not selling them and moving them to a different colo space and continuing to mine  Tongue.

I have a question. Are we all working at the same time on the same blocks? Or is it different all the time for every worker? for example if I have 10 minors under one worker and I rent a large miner it then ends, will it continue on the same block or will it all everyone has a different clock to work on. Also if somebody has a very small miner does it chances are way lower than something that they have 10 times that? Or is it just pure luck?

Thank you both again.  I managed to get everything installed and working more or less; my last update time displays as a negative number though.  Actually, it always displays about -5 29, everything updates as it should, but the time just sits at the negative value.  Any idea what I could have messed up?

I modified the script with a unixtime stamp converter to show the lastupdate correct and i modified the layout for me.

Is the best share it displays just from the last block?  Some times the best share in my display goes down, so that's the only explanation I can come up with.

the bestshare counter resets every time to zero if a block is found by the solo pool.

here is the post from ck where he explain the bestshare for the stats page.....
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10210589

---snip---

Also everyone's bestshare stats will reset on finding a block.

here is a screenshot of my 1 th miner dashboard when i found the block.

That's the dashboard?
Heh that's miner.php that I wrote and is part of cgminer.

Sorry kano,  that is of course the miner stats page for my miner.
My english is not very good and i called it dashboard,  but know i say miner stats page.
No, I was just surprised to see that they used my code for the dashboard Smiley
I've never seen a dragon miner.
I'm pretty sure they are one of the companies that violated the GPLv3 license Tongue

Yes the company (lketc) in china violated the GPLv3 license, because they use the software and don't make it open source, i'am not sure and i have to look, but at the admin page is no hint that they use open source software. when i buy my miner and used them the first time i was suprised that i can't login with ssh because they don't tell the username and passwort, so i searched at this forum and find a image from a user with a modified software for the miner and the user + pass for the ssh access.  At the admin page of the miner is no hint that they use open source software, only a copyright info for the company.
