I was transferring a bunch of rented miners over. Did that have something to do with it?
It was down for about 10 seconds while I was restarting it so perhaps that happened at the same time and that's what you saw.

I think the pool is dead. 
No I was upgrading it.Finally found a major bug which would show up in the fashion of the crashes so far and have fixed it and restarted the pool. Hopefully this is the one.

Are there any type of stats available for the current block, like our total shares, current block time, etc?
Nope. I usually just check ck's BTC address for the pool randomly during the day.

Thank you. I've always wondered if all miners have the same ability to find a block. Are some chips better quality than others and better at finding blocks or are all chips basically the same?
Makes no difference. Only hashrate matters, the rest is luck.

Captain, is she ok?
She bounces automatically when there's a problem first mate. It appears she bounced yet again., reason I asked is that I'm only running 1 tube now solo and didn't know if it was good enough to find a block.im wondering the same thing.
odds should be the same but is there more lucky/better chips..
one of my gpus was the lucky one that allways found all the big shares alone.

Put another 175T on last night -- didn't help us find a block 
...
gotta save up a while now before I can do that again
