The price is not relevant at the time of solving, you just have to keep the coins for long enough (hodl).

I recommend a Bitaxe Ultra 1366, you can find legit sellers under this link:

Much cheaper than a classic USB-ASIC-Miner like the Compac F from Gekkoscience and no additional accessories are required – no active USB-Hub for enough power and no Raspberry Pi to run CGminer …

Hello all,

let's go to the next group buy from Hashingpower.

As already requested by some forum users I put a new group buy for solo mining. Start at the earliest after the next diff reduction.

~10-20 users for each 0.005 BTC, 0.01 BTC or more BTC can participate. A higher number is not useful, otherwise a possible profit will be much too small.
If smaller amounts than the minimum amount are allowed in a single case, then the calculation of the rewards will be based on the amount of BTC deposited.
Hashingpower is rented on Nicehash and shot on the solo pool.
The status of the group run can be observed during the runtime via the Live View link.
Here you can see what our hashingpower is and what our highest share / bestshare is.

If a block is found, the reward will be paid out to the participants.


Lets go and let us find a block before the next halving

To make it a little easier in the new year, I've decided to do the reservations differently.
In the new year there are reservations possible for people who pay for 2, 5, 10, ... block party runs in front.
If the quota is exhausted, the place will be automatically free and someone else can use the place.

Specifically, we start with the Blockparty Run 2022-1 and if someone sends 20x 0.01 BTC at the first time, he is practically permanent until the Blockparty Run 20.
If someone joins the Blockparty Run 2022-7 and sends 10x 0.01 BTC, he will be a member until Blockparty Run 17.
This simplifies the organization and places are not permanently taken by the same people, unless someone sends 50x 0.01 BTC for the 50 planned Runs.

If we should not create at the end 2023 the Runs, for which someone already paid, the last Run in 2023 all payments are used around longer to run.

As long as open slots are available the coins can be sent at any time without an OK from me

The solo.ckpool would reject your worker if the wallet was not correct ; so it should be ok.
Btw, there is no relation between BTC and SOL, especially when you are mining BTC.

FYI, Exodus is closed source, I would advise you to download Electrum and test it. It is a free open source Bitcoin wallet  Smiley

I have a question about bit ordering in the mining.notify message please. I was testing recently I got this notify message for block 829,981:

My question is about the byte reversing on the previous block hash (829,980 - mined on Feb 11, 2024 at 13:49:19 UTC). From the block explorer I can see that the hash for that block is:

The message from ckPook  reversed the previous hash in 4-byte chunks, rather than byte-by-byte i.e.

I am able confirm the nonce for the block reversing block explorer's previous hash byte-by-byte. I'm probably missing something here, I want to find out if the 4-byte chunk reversal is also used in other parts of the mining notify message e.g. coinbase tx, and the merkle data.

Hello all,

let's go to the next group buy from Hashingpower.

As already requested by some forum users I put a new group buy for solo mining. Start at the earliest after the next diff reduction.

~10-20 users for each 0.005 BTC, 0.01 BTC or more BTC can participate. A higher number is not useful, otherwise a possible profit will be much too small.
If smaller amounts than the minimum amount are allowed in a single case, then the calculation of the rewards will be based on the amount of BTC deposited.
Hashingpower is rented on Nicehash and shot on the solo pool.
The status of the group run can be observed during the runtime via the Live View link.
Here you can see what our hashingpower is and what our highest share / bestshare is.

If a block is found, the reward will be paid out to the participants.

Depends entirely on price action, and there is every reason to believe the price will keep going up. As for there being no point mining solo for small miners - there's no "point" mining solo now either unless you see it as a lottery, and in that regard it will still be a lottery afterwards, just with worse rewards. The reward won't be half though since fees will be amounting to about 10% by then.

Nobody has a crystal ball and the only thing that remains is speculation. You can rely on experience if you like. Just take a look at the history of the last halvings. Did the BTC price rise or fall, how did it stabilize afterwards and where did it settle? You can try to draw conclusions from this and provide some statistical support for the probability of the prediction. However, this is never a guarantee. I think up to the halving the diff will be go higher and higher.
everyone will try to get a block with a 6,xx reward.
After the halving i think it will be more stable or go a little bit down.
But if the price go to 100k or more, than it will also go higher and higher.
I think it is depending with the btc price after the halving.
