LOL no. edonkey has me on iggy (he doesn't like my opinion that miner settings should produce a positive ROI).

The "workers" stats URL form doesn't seem to be working any more...I apologize if this has already been covered. But I searched this thread and didn't see any recent mention of this issue.
...Userstats are now formatted for easier reading.
User and workers now show lastshare time instead of last update.
Per worker stats are now deprecated, please monitor workers from within the users page....
Wink

Edit: Oh, wait, he muted me over the S9 thread; someone wanna repost this for him?  Tongue

The "workers" stats URL form doesn't seem to be working any more. I can still use "users" and my address to get stats, including the individual workers:

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/18mztP2vq8u79oBPjFvTrMpy53mKHiFQNt

But when I try this form, I get a 404 error:

http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/18mztP2vq8u79oBPjFvTrMpy53mKHiFQNt.gekko2

I apologize if this has already been covered. But I searched this thread and didn't see any recent mention of this issue.

Ouch, well I fucked up.

I had 10 T9's mining on here for a month or two and after no real progress (best share 110 billion) decided to move them to peercoin mining few days ago.  Just checking on the machines today and they have been finding peercoin blocks, as expected.  Looked at the best share on one of them and did a double take though.  565 billion.  Sad

Few more days of patience and would have been 15 btc richer.
Darn. Well it's not much consolation but you should be aware that had you kept mining here, you would have been doing different work and just because you found a 565G share on the other pool doesn't mean you would have found one here.

Last Friday when switched to lottery mining here there happened 2 failovers in 24 hrs.  Is everything ok with the .de node now or I'd better use the main node?

BTW Good Luck to me and other fortune hounds here! Let the Friday lottery begin!
The DE node is fine now (at last). It turned out there was no hardware problem. The dedicated server provider was very helpful taking the hardware offline for a day to do a thorough hardware test and came up with no issues. Because I was using certain IP tables rules it was triggering an obscure kernel bug which took a lot of detective work to find. In the process I've been able to update the kernel on the hardware to one of my own and consequently its performance is now better than ever - which I'd like to take the credit for in terms of it using my scheduler code but part of it is just the move from a very conservative 3.12 based debian kernel to 4.11. I'd like to update the main server's kernel as well but I don't want to take it offline since it's been online and stable for so long and I d rather not give any more downtime than is necessary. A pool restart usually involves virtually no downtime for miners which simply reconnect but rebooting the hardware for a new kernel can take a fair bit longer and risks failure to boot in the worst case scenario.

Good luck to the Friday miners and everyone else! These damn blocks are getting more and more elusive with unbelievable diffs.

Hi rental miners.

Someone is hitting the pool with 6PH at the moment and that's great but from what I see it's a rental, like most big hashes that hit the pool.

I have nothing against people renting and trying to hit it big on this pool, but can I offer you a piece of advice? Now that I understand better how rentals work, I'd like to suggest you guys coordinate amongst yourselves when you're planning to rent big. Places like nicehash have a limited amount of hashrate to offer and rentals work off a best bid system. That means that as soon as there are two or more competing big rentals vying for a large share of a fixed amount of hashrate, you all artificially inflate the prices for the duration of your rental. You both lose out on total hashes purchasable as a result of doing this. Can I suggest that if you're all mining here, that you coordinate your mining. By that I mean, hand around a baton or token, saying you're about to do a big rental and that others should hold off. Pretty much any rental 1PH or above should be doing this. While you're all renting for yourselves, you have nothing to gain by competing with someone else to rent hashrate. I'd rather not see you all ripped off by being unlucky enough to try and rent big at the same time someone else is. So please, if you're planning a big rental, provided you're not worried about losing anonymity, announce it here saying how much rental and for how long, advising other people to hold off till you're done.

Now mine on and let's see the blocks roll in!

hi ,
just noob question
is it better mining with 200th for 24 hours or 1ph for 6 hours ?
1ph for 6 hours would be about the same as 250TH for 24 hours; so....
1ph for 6 hours

DE down again; looks like it really is a hardware issue. DE will be offline till further notice; I have simply redirected all DNS references to DE directly to the solo pool, sorry about any inconvenience.

Found an obscure kernel bug that is triggered by the unusual network configuration I was using so hopefully I have rectified this at last and I've brought the DE server back online.

Small blip coming up on main pool once the heavy rentals settle for minor updates. It should also kick the DE miners back to the DE server if they haven't altered their configurations.
The main pool has been restarted as planned and all the DE miners have failed back to the real DE server.

To give you an idea of how busy solo has been since its inception:
Code:
[2017-05-14 01:51:10.024] Loaded 15229 users and 4462 workers
The users is number of users that have ever registered and the workers is the number of workers active in the last week.

Let's find that next block!

Dang the difficulty is jumping. To solve a block a day needs now what, 56PH or something. Right?

I remember the good 'ole' days (of not long ago) when having 10PH almost guaranteed you a block in a few hours. LOL
It's painful and scary isn't it? 10PH "isn't much" these days  Undecided I remember when 10GH was enough...
