How long have they been running ?

I've got 2 x 2pacs from sidehack OTW...

Sorry to plug him but "SUPORT SIDEHACK" in building miners for our community

DUDE I LOVE solochance.com !

I've donated once and will again thank you

Roughly a year now. I'm waiting for the biggie, will definitely get one of those!

I agree sidehack and ck have done great things for this community!

Wow thanks a lot man!  Grin I look to add more functionality at some point!

Still soloing away with my 4 compacs at a total of 55GH.

Best share is just shy of 1 billion at 886954978.

I've promised myself I'll order a pizza as soon as I break the 1 billion mark  Cheesy

Note that if you do not find a block, you get no reward at all with solo mining.
How do I withdraw in solo.ckpool.org? if indeed withdraw min 12.5 BTC, why my income (Accepted: 14.42636558 BTC) has not also pay into my wallet? explanation please.... thanks
Please don't quote entire posts for no good reason.

Read the part I left in the quote very carefully. I have no idea where you got "accepted 14.4" BTC from; there's no such measurement or accounting response from this solo pool.

ahhh i get you! With that in mind, how fast are CK Pool block changes on average? I mine here solo for this reason and because you have integrity but i am curious as to the exact average time for block changes.
By far the fastest of any full verifying node pool. Block verification and work building time is on average 140ms from notification of a new block.

Note there are other pools that get new work out faster (like the Chinese pools) but they do NOT verify the blocks and build empty block work on top which is a security threat, can potentially cause an invalid fork of the blockchain, and does not confirm any pending transactions so is bad for bitcoin on multiple levels. This site (when it's working - currently stalled on an old block) shows block change speeds, and you'll see solo ckpool is the fastest after the non-verifying pools: https://poolbench.antminer.link/ Note it's hosted in the USA so it's about block change speeds to USA miners specifically.

I thought you used the old bitcoin relay network anyhow?
I use the old and new bitcoin relay as well, but this is even faster propagation between the two pools than either of those can provide and is specific for the pools' submitted blocks.

I thought you used the old bitcoin relay network anyhow? Been looking at setting up a relay network for litecoin off my own back for precisely this reason.

To be fair, the stats weren't actually meant to reset on a restart so that's a new bug as well, but to fix that... I'd have to restart again... I'd rather see if I can just keep the pool up indefinitely now instead. The new code has had many changes internally, and if you've been watching the ckpool git you would have seen most of them. None of them are visible changes to miners though. The practical effect to miners will be that both pools now share transactions so are likely to always include the best transactions to maximise fees and block propagation between the two pools should be very quick, helping propagate blocks across the network and further minimise the risk of orphans. I'm tempted to set up other mining nodes elsewhere in the world to improve this even further but the profit margins of this pool wouldn't make it worth it unfortunately; I've been through that exercise before and the two nodes in DE and USA give pretty good coverage with minimal latency for most mining places in the world.

-ck, just one question - yesterday my best share showed over 2 bill, and now it shows 240 mill, have you restarted the stats? I'm at the .de node.

Look a few posts back...

Why do the stats keep resetting?  new feature to reset stats every so often?    just curious.
Been doing lots of restarts to update the pool with lots of improvements and sequential bugfixes and the stats have been going with that. I've posted about the restarts here and then deleted the posts so if you subscribed you would have seen the messages but I thought it would look like a flood of the thread to leave them all here. I keep hoping I'm on the last bugfix but that's just the nature of running code real world versus test environment that more shows up. I'm not planning more "internal features" so once the bugfixes are all in it should be months again before the pool will need restarting.

Just for fun, here's a screenshot of me testing the solo code on testnet which recently had its diff reset to 1. This is a screenshot when diff was 1024 (it's rising every 45 minutes instead of every 2 weeks).

25 TH pointed at the pool for over 2 months and I just hit one for 82 billion!

Far from the required number of 0's but still closer than ever before !

The real disappointment is hitting one that would have been a block solve a month ago if there was no diff increase)))

But anyway GL to me and all the capella of "soloists", let the Friday lottery begin!
