Hey Folks, I just pointed my GekkoScience Compac at the pool and I'm seeing a lot of these messages:
This is the command I used to start cgminer:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1KZKt84mNoo3WFyiapRi5NAoi9V5DMi8nr.Compac1 -p x --compac-freq 325
Here are the stats links:
User Stats: http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1KZKt84mNoo3WFyiapRi5NAoi9V5DMi8nr
Worker Stats: http://solo.ckpool.org/workers/1KZKt84mNoo3WFyiapRi5NAoi9V5DMi8nr.Compac1
When I look at the User stats it shows that there are multiple workers, but there is just one worker, and that seems to be correctly reflected in the worker section of the JSON, and in the Worker link. I would expect that the 1-day and 7-day stats are off since I haven't been running long enough to have accurate numbers there, but the 1-minute and 5-minute shouldn't be zero, right? Also, should I expect to see the Accepted shares counter increment?
edit: I don't know what happened, but magically I'm now seeing [2016-07-03 01:38:38.824] Accepted messages in the window, the A: count is going up, the diff is now 16, and the stats links are showing numbers that now make sense.

Thanks for the screenshot! I doubt mine will arrive today...
Oh well -- I just noticed, that my mining pool lineup is IDENTICAL to yours -- until halving...
I figured I'd roll the dice for the last few days (all my machines are well past their ROI)...
When you say "too loud" at full speed -- how much louder is it than the S7???
EDIT: I wasn't asking for decibels -- just like "twice as loud" "one and a half times as loud" guesstimate...

Since I am moving it in four days to the array I just lowered freq- hash rate -fans

my 5th s-9 has arrived will point it here for the time being.
I am running a series of tests on it and a new psu break out board. It is too loud to run full speed.

How exactly would the "pool" get paid? All of the coins from the block go to whoever finds it. If you take coins from that person, it just becomes another pool.
Come off it! How does this solo pool get paid? If you find the block, then you get 99.95% of the 25 BTC it is worth, the rest to the pool.In the same breath I'd add, the "normal" pool mining would say incur a flat rate for paying out to your address (not rocket science, but the pool gets paid then!)
But I digress, the question was is that kind of pool technically feasible to implement (or am I barking mad because that is what P2Pool is)?
You can separate the mining into separate pools yes and thats technically feasible . But it this case you would need a interface and maintenance on the "pool"and website would get hectic. I use to mine on a pool that did that but they shut down. This is straight forward and luck based. It's better to mine together than it is alone with outdated equipment. Solo mining you have to have a reliable computer dedicated for that purpuse plus you have to stay updated on your node which takes time. This is mining with the least red tape on both ends.
