The next block is around the corner !!!  The last block found is more than a month already. Does this means that based on stats, ck solo should find a block soon? or it all depends on each personal hashrate.

Hi ck,

I notice this stat for pools notice de server is  behind ckpool and solo.

Rank    Pool                            Ave Delta From First Pool    Delta minus Best
1    solo.ckpool.org:3333    0.056200003623962    0
2    pool.ckpool.org:3333    0.058200025558472    0.0020000219345093
9    de.ckpool.org:3333    0.19300003051758    0.13680002689362

Very impressed ckpool and solo both are very quick is there issue with de being slower?
The measurements for that benchmark are done with a server in the USA so that's the round time to DE and back. DE is only a passthrough now so cannot be any faster than the main pool any more.

Hi, I wanted to do solo mining. I just pointed all four of them to stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 with same bitcoin addreses with no extentions and password. Am I doing it right?
Thanks in advance
Yep that's fine. Good luck.

Hi, I have four S9's please provide full details how can I put them all together to mine as one miner at CKPool.org?
Thanks in advance
Do you want to mine at this pool which is solo.ckpool.org which is for solo mining, or at ckpool.org which is for regular pooled mining? Either way, just use the same username for all the S9s - which has to be a valid bitcoin address, and it's up to you if you want to give them separate workernames or not. Eg:
btcaddress.1
btcaddress.2
btcaddress.3
btcaddress.4

I pointed my antminer S9 towards solo.ckpool.org

this is what im getting:

...
Code:
"workers": 0,
...
   "workername": "14vAwJfWALLETADDRESSgATmHptFR.s9",
  "hashrate1m": "0",
   "hashrate5m": "0",
   "hashrate1hr": "0",
...

I have been connected for 7 hours or so.. shouldn't the values in hashrate 1m/1h/1d/1m/7d change??
It used to be different last week when i connected...

This shows you are no longer connected to the pool and not actively mining to it. Maybe your internet had an issue?

It seems to work fine when i connect to a pool..
This only happens while connected to the solo pool :/

hello...

I have miner on the solo pool,
I am using the ck proxy to connect I noticed a large number of stale shares.

The proxy host is in VM I have setup firewall rules to allow the connection but I see high share stales.

Is there something to improve this ping is very low between miner and VM and to pool?

Miner 4 has very bad numbers.

Is the next block any close? No block in more than 24 days.
When I look at the pool status, the hashrate is around 6PH. The total hashrate is 24,000PH, so does it mean that there is a 1 in 4000 chance of finding the block for this solo pool. Or the pool stats do not have anything to do with the chance of finding. The chance of finding depends only on our hashrate and a lot of luck?

It totally depends upon luck. However more hashrate you have more chance you have to find the block.

Quote
In the second case, our share has to be more than the difficulty to be more likely to find a block right?

No, there is no kind of guarantee that you will find or more likely to find a block after your submitted shares is greater than difficulty. You can only hit a block if your best share is greater than difficulty.

If you shares submitted is more than difficulty then you are starting to have a bad luck. If you hit before the difficulty then you have a good luck. Not sure how to define it better but this is how pooled mining determines luck. In solo mining it is not that relevant IMO

You can find the chances of pool by putting pool hashrate in solochance.com. Currently at 8.22PH hashrate , pool has a chance of finding a block in every 21 days.

And at current difficulty you can find a block per day at 170-180PH.

Thank you for the clarification. I was confused for quite a while. Now it's all clear.
So in this time frame, there's a high chance of hitting a block.

also someone who is starting out mining liking isn't going to begin with an asic but if you tell them to fuck off they likely won't use your pool when they do get an asic
Totally incorrect, anyone starting in with bitcoin will start with an ASIC device, because that is the only relevant hardware for mining bitcoin.

I started with an antminer U3, and when I stopped mining I was using an avalon A6.  If you want to learn get yourself a $20 usb stick miner.

No, someone starting out should read an intro to mining before ploughing into what you did:
