Hi guys, so I havent logged onto yobit.net for ages, just been HODLing my tokens. When I tried to log in, my 2FA didnt work. I got in touch with "support" but they just say they dont help with this anymore because they have been hacked a few times and no longer offer assisttance in getting back into your account if your 2FA doesnt work...what the hell? Nobody will help me there at all! How can they just keep my tokens? THEY were hacked and now I cant get access and its tough sh!t to me?? Anyone else have this issue?

They have a legal obligation to return your coins. The coins, after all, are still in your name regardless of whether or not your 2FA works.

Although, since they are a completely unregulated entity, they don't have any incentive whatsoever to comply to the relevant rules and legislations.

I think your only chance of recourse right now is to continue to go back and forth with their support. Keep creating new tickets - be persistent, expect the worst, hope for the best. Consider your coins gone for now by the absolutely atrocious track record of Yobit.

So, the site has been hacked means that the user data is erased? It also means that the data of users like email, password, etc was also stolen. Yet another reason to never use Yobit again. I don't know if you can get help because yobot have stopped coming to bitcointalk, but if you want you can open a scam accusation against them here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

It is really unfortunate that they are giving that kind of an excuse because even if the site was hacked they should have players data because I often get email from yobit, obviously spams, which shows that they still have my email and if they have it, they should be able to help out user who needs their tokens.

This is the reason why you should be picky when it comes to an exchange

You should be but there are instances or situations on where there are certain coins which is only being traded off on a particular exchange which do people

end up on using them inspite of the risk that is accompanied with it.When things happen where most likely that they do experience problems.Luck if you do able to
pull out but if not then thats considered lost.

Knowing yobit and its past that been known to have no response support plus those issues and complaints everywhere then this had been known to be the shittiest
exchange in all time.

Even I knew them as the worst exchange, I didn't expect to hear such answer for a problem like that, there would be a reset button on their admin side for such incident (lost 2fa).

Being hacked before isn't the case here and should not be the reason of them for not be able to help their user, this exchange really the worst lmao.

Be this mistake serve you a lesson to learn, if you think the token/alts you have only listed on this kind of exchange, I suggest you to trade them to btc/usdt or any coins available on other trusted exchange eventually and withdraw them for good.

I have not used yobit exchange for many years. I only used it when I was a novice member in the cryptocurrency market. They have one of the most terrible customer services on the Earth. There is a high chance that you can never get your money back. I am grieved beyond expression to learn of your loss. You need to move on and better get rid of this exchange
I never heard good feedback on this exchange since then, only I heard poor customer support that turns to a scam, heavily promote pump and dump projects, and IIRC, they are unregulated exchange, is that right?  There are too many cons while using this exchange, I will advise those who want to try this exchange platform, If l were you, I might think twice or thrice before start using this exchange.

OP might not alone here, I heard various stories like this that they losing funds without even getting recover, I think OP needs to move on about his loss, I don't think they care about their reputation or is all about the money that they could get or those accounts have trouble and can't recover the funds.

I hope OP gets a better answer to this.

Sorry to hear that mate, personally, I don't store funds on an exchange, much more on a exchange that has a bad reputation like Yobit. And specially the saying that, "not your keys, not your coins". I'm sure you are not the one who have this issues not just to Yobit but to other exchange as well and won't be the last. And again, sorry to burst the bubble for you, but it looks like your donated all the tokens to this scam exchange.

OP had been around in the forum for a long time, he knows yobit is one scary exchange to put his coins but he is putting it there still. Well of course they are in the business for a long time but I have never heard of them got hacked actually.  Their support is always that worse so if they say they are not helping you with 2FA then you're fucked.

Yobit is very famous for having no aid and help to their customers. They really have a poor support.

I know yobit exchange as an yoshit exchange, I am a user of it before and I do regret using it to be honest. One of the worst exchange imo
I have used them before but not with huge amounts. I just choose to trade and scalp there with any of my tokens long time ago that I do not need anymore and I dont find any value of holding for long.

Congratulation , Now you are added to the greatest Victim of Yoshit exchange  Grin.

Kidding aside mate you should not trust that exchange and What? you have let your coins
on their site for Age ?

They even Scamming those new traders in their site so what more that you have let them think that you are already Gone and your Holdings are nowhere to go but for them.
The moment that you abandoned your assets in their site for long years ,
is the indication of them letting take your funds..

Just make this as an example for not to trust any exchange for long time holdings.

I don't remember any incident of yobit hacking but you should state on which date they suffer those hack to see if it's inside your inactivity and holding period. If the said incident coincide and you didn't attain when they are recovering well maybe you are late for declaring about your lose tokens.

But any of that yobit is long time rigged exchange so I wonder why you trust to hold your tokens there since this incident is whitely not surprising if we talk about that exchange.

Your not the only one. If you are just new into this forum or market then this exchange is been known on having no-answer kind of support thing. They dont bother to answer out those support
tickets no matter how many tickets you would sent out.Solutions? There are no solutions to this because they are the only ones who can really unlock out that account of yours.
Even if you do tend to ask for some help here there no way that other people could do.

If i were you, dont expect too much for those coins to get it back but rather treat those as already lost forever but it isnt bad to make some attempts but dont hope.
Your chance on getting those are very slim or close to 0%.

Yobit is well known as Yoshit exchange in bitcointalk community and they even had multiple scam accusations and also security breach as well in recent times. So they don't want to accept any document as valid proof to prove your ownership means no one can help you.

You lost 2FA or the 2FA is not working?

If it is not working is the case then sync error in your authenticator could be a problem that can be fixed.

Im not sure if it was disabled or if its not syncing. I have used my secrect pass to re-instal it in authenticator but it still doesnt work
If it was already disabled then you can simply log in with your email and password itself so if it is asking the codes means either it will send to your email if if didn't enable 2fa on authenticating apps. You should know it because you can see what is showing when you try to log in, or else no one can help you really.

Old Bitcointalk members know how horrible that exchange, I've been here for years and I witnessed different scam accusations against them, poor customer support, and others like they are very strict on KYC verification.  This would be a part of a game in the exchange on how to gain extra income through lost accounts of old users.

However, just keep trying to reach out to their support, probably they will answer you if you're lucky enough.
In fact, I am already tired of seeing complaints about Yoobit which have many problems and also accusations that have not been resolved in this forum, well indeed, there are many games in it and some users experience problems and this is difficult to solve by them even though they have contacted support.

And also a lot of tokens that are made to create hype with some notifications from emails but in the end the tokens also have no value, so obviously the yobit exchange is always playing there.

Yeah I'm also suggesting keep trying even if it's a 70% fail chance.

Anyway, Bitcointalk members have nothing to do in your case, it might be good if you will rise this topic too on their forum ( https://cryptotalk.org/forum/4-exchanges/ ) and seek help from other members there.

Yobit has no support. If you search in google for support issues, you would find that people wait for weeks and even for months for a default answer “sorry, cant help you”. But is it 100% your fault that you have issues with 2fa. 2fa is on your device. It worked previously, and if does not work now - its your problem. But yobit did not steal your tokens, they are still in your account.

Wow, so helpful...thank you
