Honestly thought my football thread might have been the reason I got banned and if thats the case it is short sighted in my opinion.
I started a thread in hopes of open discussion about football,I even make a comment that I was hoping for more interaction. There is a similar Soccer thread in the same forum that gets a lot of posts and was hoping to get the ball rolling for a football one. The lines in week one where 3 games a thread and I switched to one game a post due to it being easier to read and track. I decided to kill it after debating having it moved to gambling forum but I did not notice to much interest there either.
Attempting to get a discussion going and being nailed for it sucks but if that is the case I understand and will take my lumps.

I may be butt hurt about this but I do believe in a strong sense of fairness and I think my posting has improved but I also feel like I can no longer take part in certain forums with out leaving a huge post. So it opens me up to being trolled or misunderstood.
In my private message I was not trying to be snobby,I just was shocked that I was included in a list of people that left answers like "Yes","me too" and crap like that.
Which is why I wanted clarity so that others had something to gauge off.
My last post in here as I have said everything I felt I needed to say and will just watch from the sidelines.

Does this seem rational to you? You have threatened to follow a member from this signature to another and put him under extra scrutiny because he takes exception to what he feels is heavy handed Modding. It worries me that you throw a blanket statement that effects every one that was on the list with permaban,when there was little recourse to your first attack on members of this campaign. Whats our defence to you just banning left and right?
The other issue I have a problem with is you go to members and click on post count to sort the most active members. Do you know which Mod shows up? You are also in a signature campaign maybe you should be put on notice.
End of the day you have backlash due to the little information we received from Yobit or yourself as to why or what signifies a garbage post!
Without clarity we are left to think you are agenda driven and driving off members that do not with a set way of thinking. It could be any range of issues hiding in there that one may speak out against. Its troubling and I hope that you do see that the attempt to reign in spammers was a bit quick on the trigger.

Hope the forums are cleaned up but in the right way,not just a big bomb dropped on a signature and hope that shuts the rest down from spamming.

You saw yobit signature everywhere due to the important number of its users comparing to the majority of the other compagns which have a limited number.
I have been a while on this forum and I can say that if you compare the spamming posts considering the number of users in each compagn you will find it too close.
I mean that's true yobit contain spammers (people think they can post anything they want even in posts that date more than 1 year!) but even the other compagns contain spammers.

No, I want a forum where 90% of the posts aren't from people who have little to no interest in bitcoin who post one line of barely literate crap just to get paid, that's what I want. And you're being ridiculous. This forum is open to all but there are rules and you can't just shit up the place and expect no consequences. Would you let someone come into your house just to shit on every carpet and wipe their arse on your curtains and be ok with it? Would that be censorship if you told them to stop or get out? No. Signature campaigns are a privilege that as far as I'm aware are unique to this forum and they're by far the easiest way to get your hands on free bitcoins, but of course people abuse it an spoil it for everyone. My job is to try stop that from happening but it's a losing battle. The vast majority of staff want signature campaigns banned and most of the long time members do too and I'm starting to think the easiest way to solve the problem is to agree with them, but if signature campaign managers did their job and didn't pay shitposters then there would be no issue and that's what I'm trying to do so there doesn't have to be a blanket ban on entire signature campaigns but that's where it's heading if people continue their behaviours. Would you rather be able to get paid for decent posts or not be able to make any money at all from this forum? Back when I joined up there were no signature restrictions and even newbies could sign up and get paid big bucks straight away, but of course it was abused by newbies and signature restrictions were put into place in order to curb spam, but it didn't really do much because of campaigns like yobit who pay newbs dust to post shit without consequences and as a result the entire forum suffers. The next step is banning signatures outright and how many of these posters are going to stay if that happens? They'll flee like rats abandoning a ship. Signature campaigns should reward people who make good posts not pay people who just post one word of crap in a spammy off topic thread just because they know they're going to get paid for it.

What? It is a private business, just like Silk Road was. I'm not sure how the two examples are related. Both parties can/could do what they want as they are not responsible for the entire bitcoin ecosphere though both contribute/d to it massively. If you want a forum where you can post whatever crap you want either find another or create your own, or remain here but play by the rules. People are not censored as much as you keep protesting and this forum is one of the most liberal I know and you can scream and shout about moderation as much as you want as long as you do it constructively in the correct sections and threads.

Okay, I get your point.  You want a closed forum that doesn't promote, encourage, or motivate new participation.  And, yes, I get what your saying about yobit paying its users to run their signature; however, I disagree with your assessment.  Yobit's campaign brings interest to the forum as well as promotes their site.  The world of cryptocurrency could definitely improve with a larger interest base and Yobit is doing its part by promoting the technology.  Now, you can say that this is a private forum owned by only a select group of players which control the opinions expressed here but then you couldn't avoid opening up all kinds of doors relating to precedents set by the "Silk Road" incident.  How much that's done here can the owners, moderators. or administrators be held punitively liable for? is one of the big questions that comes to mind maintaining that stance.

My point, yes I was involved with Yobit's signature campaign and a made a point to post often. But not for the US quarter a day I got from them (in fact, I used that to tip and donate in the posts I visited). Contrarily, I got involved because I am sincerely interested in the technology and wanted to learn more; consequently, I don't like the way I was treated.  Now, you can say my English is bad so my posts are "rubbish," and you can say that I'm spamming so my post are "rubbish" and  I would understand.  But, when you insinuate that I fall below the standards of the BitcoinTalk's elite and my participation should be censored on account of it, I get offended.

So, a small group of insiders can have all the bitcoin in the world and they can sit at their computers trading it back and forth with one another, but bitcoin will never realize it's full value unless it collects interest from the general public.  That won't happen if an elite few close down participation in the discussion and limit it to only those who are already in the loop.

Care to explain how you have been censored? You're still free to post the crap that you have been, right? There are very few rules here and you can critize the mods or policies all you want but as usual when something doesn't go their way they jump to idiotic conspiracy theories rather than accept the truth. And this forum isn't decenetralized. It's a centralized privately owned forum with rules so that means you can't just post crap like the vast majority of yobit uses do. The users that were kicked off this campaign were done so for a good reason whether you like or agree with it or not but I suggest you all take it as warning to improve because the next step is banning. Moderation on this forum is lax and that can be a good thing especially for discussion but that doesn't mean we can tolerate having hundreds of users spamming 20 one word posts or one line wonders in off topic everyday and something needs to be done about it. Yobit is to blame here because they pay for this crap everyday with no quality control or checking at all so of course its users think it's ok when it's not and if yobit isn't willing to do anything about this then it's down to the moderation. I've actually suggested we start treating campaign managers like we do with spammers and banning them instead or leaving them negative feedback if they can't do their job properly because signature spam is ruining the forum and the extra workload falls on the mods when it should be people like yobit looking after their campaign not us. If campaign managers actually bothered to do their job and only paid decent posters the forum would be cleaned up considerably.

Okay, I still don't understand why I was banned.  How deep does BitcoinTalk's censorship go? I believe the behavior of the BitcoinTalk's moderators flies in the face of what bitcoin itself represents....a decentralized, uncensored, free access to the economic community.  So, if one presents a stance on a subject that the moderators have differing opinions about here, the post gets deleted and the poster gets labeled as posting "rubbish?"  I guess that's why one of the leading advocates of Bitcoin, Andreas Antonopoulos, has big issues with BitcoinTalks policy of censorship.
