there is almost no risk of a fork at the moment, maybe in 3-4 months or so
the 1st of August doesn't threaten as much, and there may be just a 1-3 day's withdrawals lock
Yolodice admin has already stated that "we follow the developments closely and we will be prepared to handle whatever is going to happen"
so it is business as usual, unless stated otherwise

So what is Yolodice deciding to do with the deposits and withdraws done during July31st to August the 1st?
You know..
During the split of the chains pertaining to bitcoin.

I do not think it will affect anything to do with any other coin including the one you have said you would be adding soon: Ltc. Smiley

Yes and there are warnings not to withdraw or deposit. Also theymos said it in his news about the thread.
How about the investments that are currently in?
Will the Yolodice take the day off for that certain day?

Congratulations to bankrolled.

Sorry but i think Ethan have already answer in a way,in a previous post. At least as i can recall... Roll Eyes
I'm 200% sure though that this day,no one from any crypto related site will take a day-off!

Been waiting for atleast one other alt coin to use especially with all the up in the air of what is happening to btc from now until the 1st of the next month.

Actually using LTC won't solve any issues here, because its value closely follows Bitcoin, so If you were looking for a more stable coin it will be hard at the moment.
I strongly support adding LTC though, because it's much faster and cheaper to send.
You mean it was.
The price of bitcoin has dropped by 12% in the past 48 hours. While the price of litecoin has not dropped at all.
Mind you I said price and not value since that amount is relative to the value of bitcoin to USD and what I am saying is the value of litecoin to USD.
I still see it as $14 per litecoin as of this writing and it has not changed for me at all from the charts that I follow over this same 48 hour period in which I saw the price of bitcoin fall so much.
Sorry if I am wrong in your view but it shows up on my charts this way.

That's the reason why I am surprised that none of these gambling sites offer USDT. It will be linked to the fiat US dollar and then we don't have to worry about these issues where the Cryptocurrencies are crashing. Imagine buying BTC at $3000 last month and now having it be worth $2000.

Since there is no USDT tether then BTC seems to be the most stable out of most alts. Look how unstable ETH has been lately.

This is how altcoin work as I know, because of its volatility that we might get some profit, through trading or even gambling. But by using USDT, it said that the price is equal tuh USD which is more stable than crypto so how are people going to get profit from this coin? I do not think any site will accept this coin to their site. Btw yolodice is a well developing site, I think they will aim for top 5 coin from coinmarketcap first instead of going for that USDT coin that not perfect yet

I think it would be good move to use tether, this coin have a good stability (USD linked), it's like a safe way to use something like this, since with majority of coins you could profit with the price flutuation or you can have big losses too, tether is different and it's good to have options like it.

Litecoin is a well stabilshed altcoin, so strong in these days, nice community supporting it, I strongly recommend it too, since 2011 and alive untill now, the positive side is that LTC have already activated its Segwit phase.

What can we do with this coin? It is different from USD for sure, people safe USD and even can use USD to do many thing mean while if USDT be implemented how are this thing going to work? We can't do much about it right? May be some trading if there is traders or gambling it if only any casino will accept it

How much time does it normally take for a batch withdraw? I selected this option because 120k for a direct withdraw is way too much fee these days.

Batch withdrawals take Max upto 5hours but they are withdrawed before that time mostly.

Breaking news, Bankrolled(76758) has just hit Jackpot 2 and won over 1.8 BTC:

Congratulations!

Now the wagering contest looks interesting too:

There are still a few days left (till Thu) and there are 15 prizes this time, so everything can change. It looks like the BTC/USD price drop encourages more people to play. And some actually won quite a lot in the last few days:

Cheers and good luck to all!

I am against linking to USD. It's a crypto-currency world we want to live in, right? I am only looking to add stable coins and BTC and LTC shine here. ETH is new and quite unstable in terms of prize, software and network, but IMHO would make a nice addition to YD. There is some potential in it.

The only way I know that works best against coin price volatility is to sell the coins and get USD or EUR :-)

Now I am going through tests verifying rakeback and faucet in non-BTC coins... keep your fingers crossed!

Cheers,
Ethan

that sounds great ,goodluck on your tests and hope everything works out for the best!  Grin and it would be nice to include Dogecoins too

Once we add LTC, I'll maybe run a pool asking which other coins we should add next.

Dogecoin is what most users would want. Fast transactions, low transaction fee.
And most importantly you bet in whole numbers. (Better than counting the zeros after that decimal)
hmm, I doubt people wants dogecoin much. Don't know if there are other altcoins on yolodice but to my mind adding LTC is great idea, for me it's best coin for gambling after bitcoin. I would say that adding dash, ethereum and monero is a good idea if you want to have dice website with widr and good choise of altcoins.

probably the "big gambling three" :
litecoins,dogecoins and ETH
if you look at any gambling site that has introduced a cryptocurrency other than bitcoins, those would be the most common choice
bitsler, duckdice, bitvest (only planning to at the moment)crypto-games, all of them have the "big three"
some sites add more currencies, burst by Bitsler, for example but you can see the picture here

litecoin support is a good idea,it is a stable, established cryptocurrency with fast transactions
USDT on the other hand...who the hell knows about it
introducing a currency at a gambling site is a pain in the neck-separate support, payment system, database of bets etc. etc.
it is only worth to do so if there is a good economic reason behind it
there seems to be none behind USDT just yet, sorry

Agreed with you about UST. I do not believe adding tether is a good thing since it is not proven yet and adding of an alt coin is the right way to go for an online casino. Because tether is more like for hedge funds and for investment purposes. So maybe they can look into entrance of it towards their investment part of the site. Just not for the gambling part of the site because it could make it too messy to control with relative ease such as just adding an alt coin.
On this note`
When is litecoin going to be added to the site and it's functionality?
Will it be able to inter-exchange with bitcoin already on the site just as you can on other dice sites or not?

Still waiting patiently for this response on when it will be able for all to use.

Thanks Yolodice team! Grin

Hi,

LTC (and later maybe other coins) will be integrated in the site, as on other sites. We will not launch a separate site for another coin. I have an idea to allow users to trade coin pairs in a P2P style, but that will need some work.

I am not giving any specific timelines although the progress is going pretty well. But we'll need a lot of tests since a lot of code has been rewritten.

I will keep you informed!

Cheers,
Ethan

It has already, you just needed to wait long enough. I said it's following Bitcoin, so it needs time to react. Of course LTC is right now more stable, but if BTC keeps falling it will drag its favourite altcoin down. We are down from $50 on the 10th to $37 today.
