Good to heard this news.

I haven't invested yet and this will bring new users to the site just to invest at sucha high commission rate.
But I do agree that the "old investors" do not gain from this during their time of investing but they have the option to close their old investment plan and open a brand new one in a just a few days. So nothing really to be scornful about.
Since it is all in the name of progress!

Im guessing thats a mistake to keep the roll with 0.00 BTC as well. Because just imagine what they will get from you as profit or fee? They will ran out of business if kept giving you free rolls and earnings made from those free rolls. Or it might be the case that they have kept it for representation purpose only. I agreed with autobet option. There are few sites out there like freebitco which provides this option, and you can play maximum 1000 rolls with autobet option. Hope that yolodice will have it too. Rest looks pretty good. Thanks for sharing the site details.

That's indeed a very good news, congrats for solving major problems fast.

Yes, the commission rate increase will also affect new investors. The rate is the same for all investments. The new rate will affect all profits the investments make after 3rd July. All profits made before the increase gets the 20% rate.

BTW: LTC is coming! I have a server code that already handles multiple coins per user. There's still road ahead, but major technical challenges are now solved :-)

This updates are making it more interesting.   
The website is getting more livelier day by day. The follow feature really made a click for many users and now an increase with the commission.(whistles)

I know this is a great thing to investor because you increase almost 100% from before. But do you think it will decreasing your profit to developed the site as well? It seems that you really need some profit to improve more on your site(although it is already this great). And may be some other expenses that you really need. So this is already fix amount? After 3rd of July all comission will be increased to 35% including the new investor?

even if some of the old investors may not be too happy with the change
I feel that this is the right thing to do,your site needs to grow
there is a balance between attracting new players/investors and keeping the old ones happy
the sites with a huge playerbase would want to skew it in the "returning customers" favour
but the growing,agressively marketing new sites should invest more into increasing their playerbase and attracting new players

Investment commission rate increase, 20% -> 35%

Short version:

Starting 3rd July we are increasing our investment commission from 20% to 35%. We will use the extra funds to balance our budget and finance the player incentives like Rakeback, Referrals and Faucet which already attract new players and keep the site growing.

Long version:

We constantly keep adding features to YOLOdice. Some of them (like Referrals, Faucet or Rakeback) effectively lower the house edge for players. Since we did not increase the commission rate when we introduced Rakeback and re-designed Faucet, the increase is mostly to balance our budget. We wanted to see how new features work before we offset these costs to investors. Now we can see they do work pretty well and are already encouraging players to play.


The roadmap (dates are in UTC timezone):

* Sunday, 2nd July - the last time a weekly commission will be taken at 20%
* Monday, 3rd July - investment commission will be increased to 35%; from now  on both weekly commision and on-close commission (when an investment is closed by an investor) will be at 35%

If you close your investment on 2nd July or earlier, you will not be affected by the new commission rate.


If you are curious, here's what we spend our commission on:

* Referral program - we pay 20% of house edge (0.20% of referrals' wagered) to  the referees. Most people come to YD through a referral link.
* Rakeback - players can claim back a percentage of their wagered amounts,  this effectively lowers their house edge. The feature is available for players that wagered minimum 1 BTC and starts with small percentages which grows as users level-up.
* Faucet - new players can claim free coins to test the site; high-level  players can claim faucet as a bonus and "thank you" for playing with us, converting some of their XP (level) into coins.
* Prizes in competitions - every few weeks we hold a competition with prize  pools ranging from 0.5 to 1.3 BTC
* Server costs, advertizing, signature campaign etc.

YOLOdice is still in it's early stages, still gaining ground and building community. I think it's doing great and it's on a great path to become one of top Bitcoin gambling sites.

That is a very interesting feature I have never seen that before. Way to go on being different. What I like about your dice site is you always have updates and they getting better all the time. It is active. You active here as well and have a good way to promote. The signature participants for Yolo are really good and it makes the casino look good. I am not sure what my opinion is worth but I think these are important things.

I like the new follower feature. And to get xp along with the level they are makes it a cool feature because then you get the Yolodice RockStar feature faster because you are a very high level if you are on the site alot anyways.

With all these new additions to the site I can see it being a very big contender to the other dice bitcoin casinos now.

Just wanna confirm that I received the prize of the number hunt competition, withdrew it and it was sent instantly. Thanks ethan and yolodice, waiting for the next hunt number competition and congrats to all winners.

I do think litecoin would make the who processing times of the players deposits disappear. And make the site seamless in delivering on the player's most concerned problem at the moment with not just yolodice but all casinos they have used in the last couple of months when this problem with the blockchain has arised.

I suggested the same thing when he mentioned this to me.

This is going to be interesting but could be even much more with the inclusion of an in-house exchange, given the present issues of high fees and delays with Bitcoin transactions. I noticed my last priority withdrawal from the site climbed up to 120k Satoshi, but I got similar service for half the amount from another dice site, so I think something can be done in that direction.

I think this is a good addition because arguments do get over heated and somewhere to tell those parties involved should be directed there when this does happen.
