Some of us are selling in other to purchase Christmas gift and some other things in preparation for the Christmas and new year Holly day that will commence from tomorrow. Am particularly selling because some of the things I want to buy cannot be purchase with the use of Bitcoin and any other crypto currency.

Don't you have enough cash? In my mind, it’s not profitable to sell Bitcoin right now, because now it’s a high time of the bear market
Well, it was a difficult decision for me to have sell at this bear market but just I have no option other than to sell portion of my Bitcoin for a faith Currency in other for me to handle some expenses in preparation for Christmas and New year.

I was lucky enough to buy some bitcoins when it went below $7000 yesterday (18 Dec 2019). Today it’s over $7100. There is no best time to buy bitcoin other than current rate. If you have capacity then don’t hesitate to start buying bitcoin right now, that’s best gift you can give to yourself for coming Xmas.

"Bitcoin goes down because of holidays" is a myth, it doesn't make sense, what kind of investor sells their assets just because it's holiday? Have you ever seen this happening with other markets, like gold or stocks? No, it doesn't happen with them, so why should it happen with Bitcoin? It's true that we have more retail investors than on traditional markets, but retail investors don't go 100% on Bitcoin to the point when they have to liquidate some coins when they need to spend money.

I would use bitcoin but I don't buy Xmas gifts. I don't give in nor have time for this commercial crap. I will never understand why people get so excited over the holidays. Xmas is a pagan holiday now it is just a Santa clause capitalist bs. Good for those making money though. Millions of idiots buying dumb shit for other people so they can buy dumb shit back for them.

"I will give you a $50 gift and then you give me a $50 gift" lol people selling things laugh all the way to the bank.

There are nice special deals and things so I will use bitcoin to buy them unless it's an instore deal then I need to use fiat.

Omicron is another FUD

Are you using your coins to buy Xmas gifts and to pay for your holiday expenses?

I'm not using my coins to buy Christmas gifts, but I bought some Christmas tree decorations with my coins..  not payment with Bitcoin.  I converted my Bitcoin into my country's currency..  there hasn't been a Christmas decorations merchant in my country that has received payment in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Honestly, I don’t hope for Santa Claus and I don’t hope for Christmas gifts, because I myself hope only for my strength.  Recently, a very difficult financial situation has developed in my life, therefore it is thanks to the cryptocurrency that I have in my main income, which limits me very much.  Based on this, in any case, all my purchases occur at the expense of cryptocurrency and primarily thanks to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
I did convert a bit into an amazon gift card like I do almost every month. It's not a big deal really, usually  €100-200. Maybe once every 2 years I get a new phone this way, sometimes other junk. I'm going to buy a small gift for my girlfriend, something silver most likely. These are always little things, so I doubt that if people were doing the same there would be bearish pressure on the market. I'm usually buying at least €500 of BTC every month and €100 (usually the one that comes from sig campaigns) gets spent.

I am just selling my earning from Bitcoin but not my holdings to buy for christmas gift, this year, I've learned so much with how to handle my own fund, and I am less spender now, don't spend so much with the things I still have, or I don't need much, like new gadget, new shoes etc, I am more into savings because I want to build my own business.

It's expected that people will liquidate some of their asset in other to have some fund during the festive period. For now, I don't anticipate much visitors, I am liquidating because of my baby and wife which are more paramount than any expected profit.

I am selling my coins for anything I want to buy, but not all my coins, I am going to be saving some of them because it's not down to $4k yet, that's the rate I bought at.

Where I live you can't buy anything with cryptocurrency, but you exchange it before buying whatever you want, unless you decide to make use of BitPay to buy gift cards and purchase from Amazon or any other stores you want, but that's still the same as selling your coins. And I don't purchase from Amazon because the delivery is not instant where I live, there are other online stores that will deliver whatever I purchase that very day, so I don't see the need for using Amazon.

🤩Finally Married🤩
I asked Santa for some Bitcoin for Christmas, but I don't wear stocking any more, so I probably won't get any.
Go and hang up your hat, then make a letter to Santa. Maybe he can somehow consider the effort, LoL.
Oh, I also wish for gifts this Christmas that will be sent here on this address :

I’m using some of my coins to but Christmas gifts and spend it on a holiday because to be honest I invested my life savings on bitcoins hoping I will get a big profit soon but considering that bitcoin’s price now is below at $7000 then no choice but to spend some of my coins to spend on the holidays and but Christmas gifts.
I know bitcoin will surely bounce back so it’s fine I will just hold on to my remaining coins and hopefully will be able to get back what was lost once the bull will come.

So, watching the price of Bitcoin going down, made me think of reasons why this might be happening now.  Roll Eyes  I saw the news of the Chinese

scam and the coins being liquidated, but that sounds like a lame excuse for the price going down. A better reason might be that people are selling

coins or using coins to buy Xmas gifts. Let's be honest, it is that time of the year and people are going on holiday, so they need to dive into their

Bitcoin hoard to pay for that and also some Xmas gifts.  Huh

Are you using your coins to buy Xmas gifts and to pay for your holiday expenses?

I think it already the thing since bitcoin was not yet accepted in a lot of stores a lot of users probably already sell their bitcoin since the bitcoin market price was already on the downside,
And also they cannot buy anything on bitcoin yet they needed to convert it to their local fiat money in order to use it to buy gifts in Christmas,
There is a few stores online where you could use to buy a gift that accepts bitcoin but since it was limited a lot of users will going to choose to convert it.
I think a lot of people will do same thing, at first i know about bitcoin if in my country there are physical store that accept bitcoin maybe i will pick it. About fee, maybe we can set it in blockchain so we only use small fee to do. But now in my country government not allow any digital currency to be payment. Even currency that in marketplace should be changed to fiat and no option for people beside follow it.

Well if people are using btc to buy christmas gifts then i think that not a bad thing at all. At least we get to have some people willing to part with their btc to make it move. Especially when the price is not that profitable. Not for me though. I consider my bitcoins as my investments so i'll keep it especially at this time. Time to get more actually.

Nah, the price is too cheap to sell just to just Xmas gifts.

I'm sure that majority of people here have jobs so they have their Xmas bonuses. So it's not wise unless you really don't have fiat in your system to buy gifts. Wise investors knows when to sell their BTC. So for those who are going to dump it today because of the holidays, then think again.

I support you. I am sure that it is better to find other money to buy New Year's gifts than to cash out Bitcoin when the price is so low.

no i have no plan about this day.because, now i'm try to hold my btc for future profits.but, will do next year something for my wife.

I also see no reason to spend Bitcoin now when the coin is at the bottom. Better to buy and hodl, this is a future profit. I’m sure that you will buy an incredible gift for your wife next year’s money from the profit you get Wink

I don’t think Christmas is the reason for a price drop. In fact most people claim that the price increases this time of year. I think the reason for the drop is just current market conditions unrelated to the time of year.
