Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
So, watching the price of Bitcoin going down, made me think of reasons why this might be happening now.  Roll Eyes
i stopped checking yesterday as i saw already the start of the fall
I saw the news of the Chinese scam and the coins being liquidated, but that sounds like a lame excuse for the price going down.
we have seen those excuses for how many times so nothing to believe on about those, and besides scams are all over the place even before we came here.
A better reason might be that people are selling
coins or using coins to buy Xmas gifts. Let's be honest, it is that time of the year and people are going on holiday, so they need to dive into their
Bitcoin hoard to pay for that and also some Xmas gifts.  Huh
i dont think so mate, because we have seen the effect not too early like this, for years we have on this situation .
Are you using your coins to buy Xmas gifts and to pay for your holiday expenses?
not this year mate,i will choose to use my Bonus from work to spend on gifts, foods and other miscellaneous than taking out my cryptocurrrency.

Right now because of in need I definitely selling some of my bitcoins in order to buy some stuffs for this coming Christmas eve. We can always use bitcoin as our personal money in order to help us to pay and buy things for this coming holidays which is the Christmas and New year, I am starting to buy gifts for my kids and relatives especially for my father and my mother in order for them to be happy on the holidays.
I am using some of my coins as a token to produce a fiat money that will use to buy some goods and products that we need in order to complete our Christmas holiday.

I'm interested on the news about China you're talking about. Nevertheless, anything could be the reason, from the holidays, to whales, or even such news you're saying. For me though, I'm holding my coins since it isn't too much, and I have cash to buy gifts for the holidays. And also, I'm hoarding coins for profit on the next halving. These dumps are clear signs of a buy flag.

On the contrary, it's better to stash more in this holiday isn't it? The price is too damn low, forget the Xmas gifts, it will come and go, you need to look at the bright side of it.

In my case I have prepared at least 50% of my gifts to family members and extended families. So my bitcoin is safe at the moment and there's no way to sell it today. I bought it way below the current price, so it's easy profit for me, but I'm not going to do it.

maybe before Christmas & New Year some people sell bitcoin, but that doesn't have a big impact on the price of bitcoin, who have a big impact on the price of bitcoin are big traders, we don't know what the big traders think, if we look at the history of bitcoin prices in December prices do not always go down, it means that the big day doesn't really affect the price of bitcoin.

I am not using my Bitcoin to buy anything this Christmas for the purpose of sharing to anyone. No, I do prefer to continue holding my little hoard of Bitcoin with the big hope that in 2020 there would be a more-than-usual pump on its price and that can be the time that I might liquidate all of my cryptocurrency holding. Personally, I am already a little bit tired of this waiting game and I am planning to be shifting to forex trading instead. Because we are not experiencing some surge in speculations, the tendency for many to convert their Bitcoin to cash for the holidays created the current pressure on Bitcoin and that can be the reason why we have the bearish mood overtaking the market.

I kind of had the same thought about this dip below $7000, that it might be people selling their bitcoin in order to free up money to buy gifts.  But that would have to be a *lot* of selling in order for that to be true, and I'm not sure if that's what's going on here.

I have not sold any bitcoin or anything else lately, because I haven't overinvested in crypto.  There are probably a lot of people who have done that, just like there are those who've gambled away more than they should have.  Let's see what happens after christmas.  Maybe people will start buying bitcoin with money they got as a gift.

I don't mind the price. I will use my BTC if I want to.

Should be regret since I'm will dump at a considered low price for others? Of course not.

Money can be work again. If people can't handle what's happening in Bitcoin price, then no choice but to face the wrath of dump since nothing they can do with the situation.

However, fortunately, I have funds exclusively for such events like Christmas so no way I can harm my precious BTC but instead will remain idle for the meantime. Instead of worrying about how's the price is currently behaving, turn it into an advantage by considering accumulating more.

The coins that I am holding will stay in my wallet even in this gift giving season. I will sell some items to gain or buy more coins if possible since BTC today is down. Maybe there is a slight effect on the BTc price for those who are liquidating their coins in exchange for fiat but maybe not that much that will make BTC price drop from $7,100 down to $6,500 theres more behind it that we are not seeing yet.

Just sold some of my bitcoins to buy xmas gifts at city mall. I don't see nothing wrong with that considering BTC is heading to re-test $6K support and eventually break thru it.

Nah, the price is too cheap to sell just to just Xmas gifts.

I'm sure that majority of people here have jobs so they have their Xmas bonuses. So it's not wise unless you really don't have fiat in your system to buy gifts. Wise investors knows when to sell their BTC. So for those who are going to dump it today because of the holidays, then think again.

...snip...

I'm not selling bitcoins at these prices. Are you crazy?! This holiday season, everything is being paid for with cash or credit card.

I think same as you do, though I do not have any BTC on hands right now but if I had any stock available, I would not sell it at this time when the price is 1/3 of the ATH. I have seen threads where some guys were expecting 'Santa to gift them a pump surplus' but Santa is doing the opposite this time by draining down the expectations of everyone just like a building on sand gets down with just a small gust of air. This time is to save BTC because the bull run is not yet started, and I think 🎅 wants us to learn how to save BTC this Christmas instead of selling it and dumping the markets or using it directly for things that will never increase in value while BTC will.

As the price of bitcoin keeps falling, I don't have any plans of spending bitcoin to buy gifts. By now if I spend, a $100 worth gift will turn to be $50 if the price of bitcoin increases soon. If I wasn't able to buy gifts, then I'll send little bitcoin to everyone as gift. This time more service renders too have begun to support in sending christmas gifts accepting bitcoin.

No, I'm not spending my Bitcoin for Christmas gifts. Usually, buying Christmas gifts is quite stressful thing and often it's last minute's purchase. Usually, I simple go to some local shops and buy Christmas gift there. And obviously, these shops don't accept Bitcoin :/. Also, sometimes I buy gifts online, but very few local online stores accepts BTC. But I have to pick local online stores instead of foreign, because I need fast delivery.
But maybe giving some BTC as Christmas gift sounds as not bad idea.

Same here. As much as possible, I don't want to spend my btc for gifts or I already lost the concept of giving gifts during holidays. It is like, it doesn't matter anymore. So if I really want to buy gift for someone these holidays, I will just use whatever fiat I have.
And yes, better to send btc instead rather than spending it on material things. But of course, you need a crash course to give if you are sending it to a noncrypto user.

Why? It seems like a reasonable theory to me:

The PlusToken scammers are slowly offloading to OTC brokers, who are then pressuring exchanges like Huobi down. Arbitrage among the global exchanges handles the rest.

A better reason might be that people are selling coins or using coins to buy Xmas gifts. Let's be honest, it is that time of the year and people are going on holiday, so they need to dive into their Bitcoin hoard to pay for that and also some Xmas gifts.

I'm selling some of my bitcoins to buy Christmas gift as there are no local stores that accepts BTC as payment here. And I think this could be the case for the majority here, unless they have fiat then obviously they won't touch their bitcoin because of the current price.
