I was ignoring bitcoin for over 2 years because I kept thinking that it was some illegal, geeky and shady thing that I should better stay away from.

At the time when i was new on bitcoin and never had any experience and i used to accumulate some bitcoins through faucets and i used to see those scams and i believed that they might really pay such amounts because i didn't know anything. So i lost a lot of bitcoins in this at start and later on when i realized they are just illusions then i stopped going near them.
Yeah, I invested in one too and made damn good money while it was operating for about a month. Luckily I decided to cash out right before they disappeared. Some of my greatest regrets emerged from Ponzi business. But believe me, if there is ever to get ROI/BEP, they will never give up and look for a pattern of similar businesses.
It is not recommended. Just have to make sure that the business is already making your minimum turnover. Choose carefully from the business community, if money rolling just purely from a new member (without using some other means), you should stay away.

Yes some ponzis actually pays in their first weeks or months . It just one of their trick to make people believe that they are paying but they will disappear after getting their target earnings . What you're earning there is the money that other people have invested . It is a very risky method to earn so you're right to stay away from them .

Certain scams are easy to recognize, but many schemes have become sophisticated over time. Luckily, they all have some red flags that are easy to identify, especially with regard to unrealistic gains. Another aspect is that if the company is able to provide profit for investors, then some good or service must be being produced. If this does not happen, it is very likely to be a scam website.Panic selling is never an option. In case you have bought at a certain price level and the price happens to go down, then you need to make sure you have fiat ready that you can use to buy all the way down. If you do that, then you can average down your buying price significantly if the price happens to tank big time. But in order to do that you must have fiat that you can use for investment purposes. If you haven't got that, then the only thing you can do is waiting for the price to go up again. And as you know, it has gone up again every time. It only requires a good level of patience in some cases.

The biggest regret is to give up when the bitcoin price crashed and you think that bitcoin is dead and you don't have any other way to recover your investment funds, also another regret is investing in shitcoins and then holding them because it doesn't worth selling them for 1 satoshi.
My biggest regret few months back I deposit some big amount in Casino for trying to double but as I deposit they gone and never came back I try to contact them but they never reply and run away with my 10 bitcoins now I cannot do this again in near future and living very poor life
I don't really regret much when it comes to Bitcoin. If anything I probably regret the most that I didn't invest more FIAT currency into Bitcoin when I first stumbled upon it. That was in 2011, but as many others have expressed here over the years, I didn't pay enough attention back then, it was later in 2013 that I bought and earned my first Bitcoins...
This is the same with me. I could not be one of the early adopters but surely I could deal with bitcoin in the end of 2013. Unfortunately this year bitcoin was crashed from more than $1,200 to less than $600. Mass media were shouting that bitcoin is a waste of money and could not ever used as an alternate medium of payment. Take a look what a journalist of L.A Times had written these days http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-mh-the-bitcoin-crash-20131207-story.html. Therefore I lost the train; but even now I am optimistic about the course not only now but and after some years.
My biggest regret? Not putting a lot more money when bitcoin was trading at about 200 dollars per coin, I made some profits but I could have gotten a lot more if have acted with decision.
Gave away...I mean gambled away half a coin last fall.

My regret, aside the obvious is actually when I got into crypto-world itself, the anxiousness of just earning large bitcoin over shadowed my judgement. Because of that, I just delve in collecting faucets, all my time at last I realised its a waste of time for someone is not ready to devote time to it. The second regret was when I now manage to gather some and because if the same anxiousness I just sold to Fiat at ridiculous price and a week later the price continues to surge...
My biggest regrets was when I sold most of bitcoins when price was 737$ (20 nov. 2016) , but thank God I was bought for 231$ (sept 2015) .. So I earned some money on it.

My biggest bitcoin regret was joining in cloud mining sites. I joined in 3 cloud mining sites thinking its life ime contract ,so every day I will get some bitcoins.One cloud mining site was hashocean. I invested nearly 75 dollars in that. All went well till one week. After one week the site went down and I lost all the money. Next site was topmine. I invested some bitcoins there. It also went offline during the time of halving. By God's grace the third site is still online and paying me bitcoins still. But there payout is really low. I dont Think ,this year I will reach the ROI.

I was about to invest in scam cloud mining sites but fortunately I do a lot of research before investing in any new option so as part of it I asked other bitcointalk members and they advised me, not to go with any such investment even if it seems to be promising. I never tried investing any ICO.
the same as my regrets, when novice and my ignorance about the site a safe investment, and it is natural that many people experience when the novice.
but at the moment I know, at least if we are going to invest in altcoin ico, they should use escrow so that one bad thing happened my money is safe.

My biggest regret of mines in bitcoin was, when my best friend told me to buy bitcoin while the price is drop in two 200$, I didn't listen to him even He is willing to teach me how. And the price now was 900$ almost close to 1000%$.
