Auroracoin, one of my biggest profits and my biggest downfall.
I invested 15 BTC in the pump (all I had at the time), watched it go to 18 BTC, and sold in the morning at the mini-crash. Checked later on Cryptsy and saw that had I held it for another 6 hours, I would have made 40 BTC from my initial 15 BTC investment (incidentally, when it hit its all time high). I bought again when it crashed and had I sold at the top of the rebound I would have made 25 BTC at the top. Though for some unknown reason I didn't sell and I kept thinking it would go higher, eventually I watched my investment dwindle from 25 BTC to a mere 4 BTC as the market crashed within 2 days, all the while thinking that it would rebound. I've been rebuilding my BTC reserves ever since that.
TL;DR - Invested 15 BTC in Auroracoin, could have made 40 BTC at its high, ended up with only 4 BTC after the crash.

Let's write here your biggest profit of altcoins. What amount of money you started with and what amount you have now? A little story everyone. Personally I started with 100usd, but still no profit after 3months. Now I'm stuck with Cloak.
Mining startup altcoins that are verified and is running on trading platforms like btc-e at low difficulty could make you a decent profit.I once made around $600 profit as I bought litecoins worth $1800 and while the price was $2 per coin and sold them onto btc-e having such profit while it peaked. 
I mined bitcoin when wasnot worth but sold 500 btc in a year and regret it . 
I have quite a bit and I'm very tempted to sell it, hodling helps in some cases.
ltc for sure. bought many just before they went from ~4 to 50 dollars.
Bought 10,000 WLD (http://www.world-dollar.com) for just 1 XRP (0.006 USD), now they're worth 0.01 BTC (5.04 USD) in just over a week.

Probably about 3 or 4 BTC. All of it got sucked away when the price of alts dropped. Kept re-investing. My own fault for not setting some aside.
I made about 7 bitcoins when doges come out and they hit their first peak, then I have lost almost all of them with wrong trades...

From a purely percentage based perspective, the two coins I probably made the most on were either NEM or Groupcoin. NEM was a .1 btc investment, sold at a bit over 2 btc. Groupcoin was .04 btc, turned into a little over 1 btc. So 20-25x increase.
That's not counting completely free coins, like comm, itc and such... which were basically just free btcs.

My biggest profit on altcoins was around -14%, when I bought Doge at the top, some days before its reaward halving. Bought around 290, sold around 250.
Only time I've played with alts, since then only Litecoin, before the falling into sub 10 zone, and Bitcoin.

I got .71 BTC from stellar at their first launch giveaway. i made many fake accounts to do that
