Just got the news that you guys (Vave) won't be paying out the BTC prediction prize, and stating participants didn't follow rules, but from my experience rules are part of the game and if they don't follow rules you disqualify them on these technicalities...and to be honest after what just happened am staying away from all Vave related contests because you are always changing things in the last minute, and to top it off I have seen your other contest where you stated if "x" number of users isnt reached you will cancel the contest but this one didnt have any of that. What hurt the most I deposited and lost funds on your platform because of this requirement, and for you to just say you not paying Scar-*
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64567716 Hi,
The BTC Prediction contest was updated on August 27th, 2024 and was not edited again until the end of the contest. (See the last edited date).
Also, this contest has the same rule that you mentioned: If an x number of users isn't reached, it will be cancelled. You can see it at the bottom of the first post (green text).
While I understand your frustration, please be clear with your allegations. Nothing was change in the last minute and this contest was ran properly and with transparency.
Since you were the sole valid participant who followed the contest rules, you were given by the Vave team a little compensation. I hope that would be enough for you to move on.
Woodie already removed the neutral tag. Kudos to Vave for compensating Woodie. I know about this contest and read the rules, including the one stating that if they didn't meet the required number of participants, the contest would be canceled. That's why I didn't join. I kept an eye on that thread and noticed that participants, except for Woodie, weren't meeting the requirements. My plan was to join once the number of participants had been met.
Maybe in the next contest, we can avoid such rules to prevent discussions like this. Also for sure this will encourage to members join the contest.
